I have a Samsung galaxy note2 LTE with unlimitied LTE plan for internet, does Asuswrt-Merlin support Android build-in USB tethering? I try to use ASUS offical firmware 3.0.0.4.260, but it does not work with the USB Modem inside the USB application, any idea if I can use the phone for internet connection with N66U?

I know this is something Asus has been working on these past few versions, but wasn't announced yet since it was still being developed/tested. It's possible that it only works with some specific phones at this point, I don't have any additional details yet. The wimpy 200 MB of monthly quota my provider gives me is a bit too small for me to test this out with my Nexus One. ;)

Will try tonight with HTC One X , Android 4.0.4 ICS.

Asus only added this in recent versions, I don't remember if it was in 220 or 246, so you might need to upgrade first if you are still on 220.xx.

Thx RMerlin, I remember my phone are able to detected as an USB 3G/4G modem under FM260(will try again tonight), but I don't know how to test if it works or not, I try to unplug the WAN cable but then the internet access will be down......

As I think Android USB tethering is not the same as USB modem, under windows environment, it will only install the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device & SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device to make it works.

Ok, Actually already updated to 260.21 (awesome).
Tried my Android phone 4.0.4 with tethering. No go.
Would be great if it was supported.

Also tried with my Note2, able to detect as a USB 3G dongle, but nothing happen even enable dual wan with the correct USB Modem setting, it must be very useful function if supporting this.

Just be patient. This is something that Asus were looking at.
