all other lan ports devices work , can ping device, get through to internet whatever , port 2 nothing . Can a port just die just like that , one day it works then Bang nothing ?
I'd hate to RMA the router , means I have t go out buy another to use until new one gets sent back .
Any test or things that can be done to bring it back to life ?

Make sure you don't have DualWAN enabled (if running the DualWAN version of the firmware), and that you haven't modified the settings on the IPTV page of the configuration.

If everything looks good there, it's possible you have a blown port. That can happen with a switch, could be a static discharge that burned it out, or some plain regular failure.

One way to rule out firmware issues would be to power up your router into Recovery Mode, plug a PC on Port 2, give it a static IP of 192.168.1.100, and see if you are able to ping 192.168.1.1 (test also with port 1 to ensure your settings are correct). If it still fails while in recovery mode, then the port is definitely busted.

You're a genius , how did yoy know there were changes on the iptv page , no idea how they changed as I never use that page , but sure enough there were changes . All is well again , Thanks !

I just know what config changes can lead to a specific port suddenly no longer working as expected. :)
