I have a Verizon FIOS connection at home with a Actiontec modem/router/wireless. My wireless usage has increased and I am finding the wireless bit to be less then ok now a days. I am technical, so choosing something becomes 'work' cause you know the more you read the more and more you end up reading. Anyway, anyone have a good suggestion for a wireless ap/router with the Actiontec?

I just ordered a Amped Wireless AP20000G, I have read some good stuff about it. I will let you know how it works out.

Dear OP...

I'd leave the original router. Add an access point (AP). That can be any WiFi router, re-purposed. Connect AP to router via cat5 cable, MoCA, or HomePlug. See forum sections on these topics.

Yeah I was thinking that or purchasing the N Actiontec from Verizon. The only advantage there is its covered under warranty/replacement. Clearly not the best in class N, so it leaves me on the fence.
