in Xbox Dashboard you can use alternative DNS Servers. I use in Dashboard Google DNS Servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Since I have done this my game experience improved much.

withe the tool namebecnh you can find the best and fastest DNS Server for you.

I don´t know why it improved gaming for me, maybe its because my Router don´t have to act like a DNS Server.
I went ahead and changed them to my recommended DNS servers within my routers DHCP settings. Is this okay too or do I need to change them on the Xbox as well?
it´s ok in the Router then all clients use them. But I only want to use them in xbox live so I don´t change the settings in the Router - only in xbox Dashboard.
My Computer should connect like before
For me Google DNS or OPEN DNS are the fastest.
I would suggest to reserve your Xbox's IP and configure port Forwarding for Xbox Live services to the IP you reserve.
No need if we use UPnP because it "only" opens NAT. I don´t think we get better latency.
Correct UPnP will handle that fine, but would your NAT not be considered moderate and not allow you to be host in most games. If you want the full live experience I believe its best to Forward.
Also, what options are you using to disable offloading???
what firmware are you running? I dont see any of the options you are talking about in 3.x.
I enabled the option "Respond Ping Request from WAN?".
UIt seems that the games run better - but I´m not sure. Someone knows if it is a security risk to enable it?
I'm on Pavadans custom firmware. Where is this setting found? I don't see it anywhere.
