    Same issue here with the 3100. Alpha 3 - doesn't see the 5GHz network on multiple iphones/ipads but I can add the 5GHz network manually on them and it will connect. iphones/ipads see the 2.4GHz network fine.

    Merlin: Deleting and readding the wireless profile on my tablet didn't make a difference - and I also am set to static channel 11. I'll try loading it again and see what happens to the router uptime.

    Help, in figuring out why my internet connection sucks

    Your internet connection is equally slow wired and wireless? If it's normal speed wired and your wireless connection is slow then you just have to troubleshoot that. I have an AC56U and a Motorola 6141 on TW cable and have no issues.
