update dropbear or disable ssh-dss support?

Thanks, everyone. I didn't think of Entware I think that might be a good path because then I can control sshd_config directly to disable offering up dss. A lot of good discussions here. Really IMHO DSS should be retired based on everything I have read.

update dropbear or disable ssh-dss support?

Thanks, I could do that but given this site doesn't actually handle any of that data like I said its not in scope for compliance. But also it's all windows desktops machines. SSH is used specifically for port forwarding for some monitoring checks for services that don't have anything more...

update dropbear or disable ssh-dss support?

We have a remote office with a service that scans for vulnerabilities. It's for PCI compliance (this site doesn't require it it's just a staff work from home office) and its triggering because if we have SSH enabled it picks up that ssh-dss is still available and running ssh -v <host> does...

Give up on AiMesh with RT-AX88U and RT-AX92U

I didn't even know there was Beta firmware from AsusWRT, I loaded it up on the 92U same behavior. I tried lots of settings from different threads, I also found it annoying that Asus did not make it super clear that only one of the 5Ghz channels is AX capable, it sounded to good, one 5Hz radio...

Give up on AiMesh with RT-AX88U and RT-AX92U

I have an RT-AX88U and picked up the AX92U to run as AiMesh nodes using WiFi backhaul. They connect but only on 2.4Ghz, if I force them to use 5Ghz they never connect. not only that the AiMesh dashboard says the signal is weak even when the devices are in the same room (not what I want to do...

ax-88u 384.19 2.4 drops all clients and never reconnects

Thanks loaded 386.1b5 last night this morning everything is still connected, though not sure how long it took to drop in the past. Thanks!

ax-88u 384.19 2.4 drops all clients and never reconnects

I'm running an AX-88U and I have noticed for a few weeks now that every so often all 2.4 clients are disconnected in the Wireless Log pannel and any 2.4 only devices (baby monitor, printer, etc) all cannot connect to the network even if restarted. Nothing sticks out in logs, is there...

RT-AX88U requires reboot to fix WAN access issues (DNS works, but no ping)

I have done resets, and not restored from backup config. DNS I use 1.1.1.1 8.8.8.8 I also see a lot of 'disconnected' in the UI but chalked that up to Charter as we do lose internet then and often comes back in 60-90 seconds.

RT-AX88U requires reboot to fix WAN access issues (DNS works, but no ping)

I have an RT-AX88U running 384.19 as main router, though this problem has existed for a long time across several versions. I have 2 RT-AX92U running in repeater mode (not AI Mesh) to extend the wireless range. They are running ASUS stock firmware 3.0.0.4.384_9177 Symptoms Randomly sometimes...

    RT-AX88U not connecting using 802.11ax iPhone11

Sorry the iPhone connects now as an AX device once HE frames were turned on. The only remaining thing is why the AX92U won't connect to the AX88U as an AX device which would be more optimal as repeaters (not using AiMesh) but works the way it is for our 100Mbps wan.

    RT-AX88U not connecting using 802.11ax iPhone11

No change, the AX92U still connects as only ac and still doesn't see the SSID on the second radio.

    RT-AX88U not connecting using 802.11ax iPhone11

Going back to why I had HE frames off was issues with Chromecast streaming when the casting device was on 5Ghz and the Chromecast was on 2.4Ghz I attached my Wireless settings below if anyone has any feedback on that or why the AX92U might not associate as an AX device to the AX88U or why...

    RT-AX88U not connecting using 802.11ax iPhone11

I am using the the wireless log under system log. It shows the device on the AX88U with Merlin as 2(AC) 40MHz, while on the AX92U it shows up as Phy ax NSS 2. All other devices on that repeater show up as AC. I am not using 160Mhz and have have channel static set to 36. I figured out...

    RT-AX88U not connecting using 802.11ax iPhone11

I have an RT-AX88U running Merlin 384.13. The new iPhone 11 support 802.11ax (our first device that does) but it only associates at 802.11ac. We have two RT-AX92U running stock Asus firmware as repeaters and when the phone 11 connects to it it does associate as 802.11ax. The RT-AX92U...

    Merlin AiMesh 2.4Ghz DHCP Failures

I am running an RT-AX88U running 384.13_0 as AIMesh Router and an RT-AC88U running stock 3.0.0.4.384_45717-gadd52a8 as AIMesh node. We are using 5Ghz wireless backhaul. Most things work but found a case where clients who are associating with the node and are using 2.4Ghz cannot get DHCP...
