    Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.8_2 is now available

    Happy to report that this update fixed my weird DDNS issue. The forced WAN IP verification used to work very intermittently despite being set to check once an hour and would get stuck in a "verification loop" whenever my WAN connection went down. I haven't had any issues since updating.

    Keep in mind that setting group key rotation interval to "0" disables key rotation entirely and is technically less secure. In the unlikely scenario that someone attempts to crack your wifi encryption, having no key rotation makes it easier to accomplish.

    Element picker in uBlock Origin will let you filter out Shorts. Best part is you can use in on mobile with Firefox, though I can only vouch for Android. I'm not sure if iOS allows extensions with Firefox. Alternatively, Revanced is a thing if you prefer using the Youtube app.

    I used to hide hibernate to avoid unnecessary writes to my SSD, but in the grand scheme of things I'm writing considerably more every day just using my PC. I'll give that a try this weekend and see what happens.
