    Powerline AV2 1800 adapter

Unfortunately, it seems that there were some production delays, and they could only accept pre-orders. Funny thing is that all local ads and write-ups didn't mention that it is for pre-orders only. Trip down was wasted, but fortunately, I picked up two units of the AC87U :D

    Powerline AV2 1800 adapter

According to the company website, this product will be on sale tomorrow (Singapore time) at the local (Singapore) computer exhibition. I will be dropping by to see if I can pick up some units. The AC87U will also be launched there (units came in today). :D

    Rt-ac68u

Well, the first batch of the AC68 routers just made it to the computer exhibition here in Singapore as it opened at noon today. Understand that all units have been sold out by the end of the day.

    Rt-ac68u

Well, it's only a few more days so we will know. I hope that by publishing the yet unknown SRP later, they are looking to push some units out of the door. The only downside other than the cost is that we won't be able to run your version of the firmware. Makes me want to reconsider replacing my...

    Rt-ac68u

Not so sure it is just a rumor. http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/comex-2013-353/asus-comex-2013-a-4360656.html Item number 5 is the AC68. People are even asking what sort of free gifts will come with it. Those familiar with the computer shows in Singapore (4 per year, held during school...

    HomePlug AV2 Head-To-Head

Sorry. Don't know why I kept thinking that the Linksys is using the Broadcom BCM60500 chipset. Anyway, does cross pairing changes things? Does Linksys implementation differs from Zyxel implementation allows both to operate at AV2 speeds?

    HomePlug AV2 Head-To-Head

Since Linksys uses the Broadcom chipset and Zyxel uses the Qualcomm/Atheros chipset, is it possible to do some cross pairing testing to find out how compatible are the two AV2 implementation?

Only getting 217 Mbps link rate on 2.4Ghz

I get 217 Mbps link rates if I choose to set the Channel Control to Auto. That's probably because the Auto mode will choose channel 11, which can only utilise the frequencies 'to the left' of channel 11. Once I select a channel (e.g. 6l), I get 450 Mbps link rates.

    ASUS RT-N66U 3.0.0.5.354 Firmware

Great speeds. But this shouldn't be due to the dual-WAN set-up, right? If it is, then maybe I should sign up for ViewQwest too. :) P.S. Here's what I got for my Singnet

I think at this point, only Broadcom is shipping draft ac SoCs.

    ASUS & new 802.11ac : news ????

Just got a press release from Asus about their new 802.11ac RT-AC66U router. Singapore (June 4, 2012) ― the ASUS RT-AC66U router integrates dual-band Gigabit wireless with fifth generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology, also known as 5G WiFi, which enables speeds up to three times faster than...

    "Best" 5ghz Bridge pair?

I am using a pair of Asus RT-N56U as a wireless bridge on 5.0 GHz. It is giving me the best speeds among the various options I tested. For example, for my laptop, I get better speeds connecting to one of the RT-N56U (via wire) that is wireless bridged to the main RT-N56U than connecting...

    Asus RT-N56U Reviewed

I have two units of the RT-N56U working in WDS wireless bridging. While my secondary router is not always switched on, my main one is, and it hasn't dropped any connections other than during the firmware upgrade. I also have 9 wireless cameras (different brands, from Dlink to Linksys to SMC)...

    Asus RT-N56U Reviewed

I tried WDS bridging between the RT-N56U and the WZR-HP-G300NH running on DD-WRT. It works, but there are occasion signal drop. Not sure if this is because of WZR-HP-G300NH or the 2.4GHz band congestion. With a 2nd RT-N56U, my wireless bridging on 5.0GHz works very well.
