Asus RT-AX92U loses WAN connectivity often

I had the same, rolled back to 3.0.0.4.388_22525. Hopefully that will be more stable, as I don't remember the router locking up when I was using 3.0.0.4.388_22525 last time

    ASUS RT-AX92U Stable Version

I saw the same. I couldn't even login as admin. Had to power cycle. Have rolled back to 3.0.0.4.388_22525 in the hope that it is better. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-rt-ax92u-firmware-version-3-0-0-4-388-22525.83592/post-867598

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

I was on 3.0.0.4.388_23630 but it kept on hanging (no internet, wired or wifi, couldn't see router admin). Had to reboot manually. Have now rolled back to 3.0.0.4.388_22525. Hopefully it is more stable, as I don't remember it hanging when I was on it last time. Just a heads up.

ASUS RT-AX92U Can I filter LAN to LAN traffic?

I tried using the firewall network services filter, no luck I want to simply block one machine from doing any DNS (port 53), to the router I suspect it is only for LAN to WAN traffic, but hard to get a definitive answer Thanks

Cheap NAS to replace USB functionality + SMB that my router sucks at?

Just an update, got fed up with RT-AX92u smb+ftp server being terrible, so took the usb drive off and put it on my previous Fritz.Box 7530, connecting the 7530 to the RT-AX92u, turning of the 7530 wifi etc. Now my network share is solid as a rock, as the entire 7530 is dedicated to usb+smb, and...

RT-AX92U USB smb seems fragile, crashes router

I don't care about speed being slower than something else. I just want it stable, which is how it was on my cheap old routers. FTP is working fine. Over ethernet to my 2tb ssd, I can transfer via ftp at about 40MB/s Could it be faster? No doubt, but its just fine for me. It is not going to...

RT-AX92U USB smb seems fragile, crashes router

Well, given that my much older routers had zero issue with this, I'm less that impressed

Cheap NAS to replace USB functionality + SMB that my router sucks at?

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ax92u-usb-smb-seems-fragile-crashes-router.73108/ I have a nice USB SSD and I simply want to access it for light usage across the house. Main use is watching movies, but obviously once in a while I need to copy things across, which is when the rt-ax92u...

RT-AX92U USB smb seems fragile, crashes router

Well, it has 2 usb sockets, so I'm just using it as advertised. its not being used like some office file server, just copying some videos across, one at a time, and it dies. I had ZERO trouble doing just this, with a 5TB HD, on my old Archer vr900 or Fritzbox 7530, so can't see why this shiny...

RT-AX92U FTP doesn't show files in root of drive (dirs fine), smb fine

RT-AX92U USB smb seems fragile, crashes router

Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_43084-g728dd24 Copying 37gb to router usb 3.0 port via SMB with a nice Samsung 850 evo (NTFS) using an ORICO USB 3.1 enclosure, 30MB/s over wifi Starts off fine, then gets slower and slower, then stops, 0 bytes per second, then v slow, then 0 and so on. To the extent...

RT-AX92U FTP doesn't show files in root of drive (dirs fine), smb fine

Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_43084-g728dd24 If I use the FTP server on the router, I cannot see files in the root of the drive To be visible to the ftp it has to be in a folder. I can transfer files to the root of the drive, via FTP, but they don't show to FTP after. They are v much there, as SMB...
