    Surprises after surprises, I just connect my laptop (wich I'm sure that is 1gb ethernet capable)m directly to the ONT, then I create the PPPoE connection, and the connection is still 100mb... so this has to be a configuration issue on the ONT, I have like three days looking for information...

    BTW, the switch that I bought is a Tplink® Switch 05b TL-SG1005D 10/100/1000

    So, I bought the switch... for my surprise the ONT still communicate at 100 mb (with the switch)... the WAN port on the router communicate at 1gb now (with the switch), so the issue is for sure the ONT, I'll call the company to check if they can force the 1gb communication.

    Sorry to revive a really old post, I'm from Chile and I have the exactly same issue, could you please provide more information for the cable that allow the 1gb communication between the router and the "modem". Best regards.
