    IPv6 Routing

you need to apply a /64 per network segment which in a home environment is 1 segment then you let DHCP handle it all yes you waste LOTS of IPs

Will 376 firmware range/speed ever catch up to 374?

Not at you specifically, i'm just saying in general this is why it's changing the power outputs. I don't know all the regional limits, the other thing to note transmitter power isn't so much a concern more EIRP (Equivalent isotropically radiated power) which is transmitter power combined with...

Will 376 firmware range/speed ever catch up to 374?

This has been discussed a little in the other threads. They really need to work out a way to control the regulatory domain so it is correct for your region and can't be overwritten. I don't know where you are but although the 374 firmware is better for you, the 376 firmware might be correct for...

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

Thats not a log of a device crapping out, DNSMASQ is functioning fine, it's doing what it's supposed to do dnsmasq is client side anyway not WAN side. If your old SB is crapping out and needs rebooting to restore service you should log into the webpage on the modem and check the log (should...

Is this a bug on Asus firmware? WAN disconnections

Im not sure if this is the same or not, it seam similar, but since updating to 376.49 i have been getting this during the night. The ISP modem going down is one problem and i have caught it occurring when i'm at the computer. However the WAN DHCP process gets the IP but then falls over later...

    IPv6 Routing

You want to avoid assigning IPv6 address's, Just use DHCP and let the hosts determine their address via OUI-64. This will also take care of the router advertising the gateway to the hosts. When you enable IPv6 on interfaces you will have multiple addresses created link-local, global etc...

Asus locking down routers to comply with new FCC rules

Another thing that i'm not sure if anyone has taken into account about the wireless channels is that 802.11 devices are not the only devices to use 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. AV video senders, baby monitors, etc etc. An AP can't see these, the only way to check for interference is to use a...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

WAN yes dropbear -p 22 -j -k WAN no dropbear -p 192.168.1.1:22 a.b.c.d:22 -j -k I'm surprised dropbear can't be bound to interfaces as this would be better WAN yes dropbear -p br0:22 eth0:22 WAN no dropbear -p br0:22 (you would need to add the other interfaces ipv6 etc...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

NAT is enabled and it is in router mode, however firewall is disabled. It should not be dependant on the firewall being enabled, the switch should be configured via dropbear on which interfaces it listens on. The same goes for httpd, you configure which interfaces the process listens on to...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

um where do we report bugs? I have 374.40 installed on a RT-AC66U SSH is enabled and the Allow SSH access from the WAN is set to NO. However i can still SSH in from the WAN, I picked it up because my log is being spammed with connection attempts that are failing for nonexistant user
