Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

Noted - was just trying to be helpful. And as for the root cause, not sure if it happened on its own or was event driven, but at least it doesn’t seem like my hardware failed. It looks like the 2.4ghz radio has failed on a quite a few based on a search I did. This seems programming driven.

Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

OK - here's my update, might be of interest to some, perhaps Mr. Merlin himself. I have two routers same model, one I use as my main and the other a node. I realized all my devices on the 2.4 ghz band stopped working. I finally gave up trying to trouble shoot and just reset both to factory...

Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

No, just numerical. I’ve decided I’ll reset the modem to factory next week and go from there.

Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

Anyone seeing issues more broadly with this router these days - particularly on the 2.4 ghz band? Now it won’t connect to my eufy cameras any longer. The cameras see the network, but when I go to enter the network password it tells me the password was incorrect and then it bricks the camera...

Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

I think your right. The network does seem to randomly crash after about 24 hours, so I've set it to reboot middle of the night and that seems to have fixed that issue. And it was working fine and one day just stopped without any setting changes.

Update - Resolved - RT-AC86U issues with 2.4ghz WiFi band - stopped working and even bricked my eufy cameras

Here's a very odd one. I found a work around, but wasted 2-3 hours I won't get back! We've all been there... Here's what's going on, wondering if anyone might know what the issue is? I have a RT-AC86U running Merlin on the latest iteration. My printer has been connected on my network...

Have Merlin + RT86U + OpenVPN Server: OVPN configuration 'expires' for lack of better term

Hey Mr. Merlin - I think you solved it, thanks! I went through my old OVPN config files and compared to the current and the DDNS name changed. In my oldest, it had DDNS host name 'A'. Then I had a router failing so I swapped my node with my primary router and setup the old node from factory...

Have Merlin + RT86U + OpenVPN Server: OVPN configuration 'expires' for lack of better term

I don't get any response in the log when I try to connect from the OVPN configuration files that no longer connect. I went back and looked at when I exported the prior one which no longer works and it was March 12th. The one I created March 31st continues to function and is acknowledged in...

Have Merlin + RT86U + OpenVPN Server: OVPN configuration 'expires' for lack of better term

Would appreciate a little help here if possible. I'm probably missing something simple. As per the title, my OVPN configuration file seems to 'expire' after an undetermined amount of time. It's happened twice now. The first was after multiple months of working properly, the second time was...

RT-AC86U Keeps losing connection, looked at log and can't understand why.

Thanks. I’d like to explore both options. I can probably use search to figure out the ChkWAN on my own, what do you mean my stop/restart WAN.

RT-AC86U Keeps losing connection, looked at log and can't understand why.

OK. I’ll try that next time I’m away for a weekend. It connects to my NAS and desktop, so it would be inconvenient to unplug for two days when I’m home. Most (but not all) of the crashes seem to occur at or after 24 hours of runtime so I’ve set the router to reboot in the middle of the night...

RT-AC86U Keeps losing connection, looked at log and can't understand why.

Any idea why my Asus connection is dropping? Maybe a script that reboots my Asus at 3am daily or something like that would deal with my issue.
