    I'm not sure with the Netgear but the Asus RT-N16 doesn't do 5Ghz N just 2.4Ghz N. I'm not sure if that's an issue for you.     looking for cheap router with openwrt support

    I'm currently running OpenWrt on a Linksys WRT160NL you have to compile from SVN to get working wireless.
