PCE-AC88 Not able to see 5ghz-2 on tri-band router

I've actually tried reinstalling the driver, rebooting router and PC and it still can't see the 5ghz network. My 2.4ghz and "guest" networks are at full signals. My previous TP-link N card could use both 5 and 2.4 networks.

PCE-AC88 Not able to see 5ghz-2 on tri-band router

I bought my pce-ac88 from the UK and wanting to use it in Singapore. I'm encountering the same problem. I can see the 2.4ghz networks but not the 5ghz ones. Is this a country/region issue? Do I need to return this and purchase a specific Asia version? Is there any settings/program I can use to...

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

Thanks for that! I will definitely give it a try. I just bumped into bittorrent sync. Is this also another way of folder synchronisation? Would either of these be preferable?

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

Thanks for the advice. The router is <4m away from the PC just in the living room next door. I have tried all manner of positions and the result is still the same. max around 6Mb/sec. I have a TPlink WDN4800 which is supposed to be a 450Mbps adapter. I've updated the drivers. I've chosen 5ghz...

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

Hang on... I thought asustor NAS supports folder synchronisation. How do I go about doing this direct from the NAS rather than installing a third party software? Or is it not possible at all even with synology, etc?

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

ok I have a silly question which I can't solve for past 3 hours. I am trying to do a folder synchronization from my PC to NAS. Finding it bit hard to do settings and asustor online help not really useful. Basically using rsync. Once I try to setup, it says enter server address. What is the...

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

My desktop has an N300 adapter (connection speed 267mbps on status terminal). Although I don't expect to reach 300mbps, I'm hoping to reach at least 100mbps. My PC is only 4-5 metres away from the router.

Its MB/s on the activity. I think its megabytes. Its rather slow. Any advice regarding settings?

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

I jumped the gun and got the 5104. I'm quite pleased with it so far. I'm just trying to optimise the transfer rate at the moment. I'm only managing 5-6mb/s over wifi. It should be much faster right? What settings should I be looking out for? My router is an asus N66. Also, what link...

steve, I know you use and recommend synology. Have you used the asustor NASes before?

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

Thanks for the links. I've read the reviews and they were pretty glowing. Given the value for $$/performance ratio, I'll probably be going for the 5104. I'm planning to get 1 4TB disk first and then probably add on 2-3 more later. Will this be a problem? I'm also planning to get HGST as...

    ASUSTOR 5 SERIES

Hi rahduke, it would be great if you could share your experience with the asustor over the last few months. I am thinking of either the 5104 or synology 415+. Everyone keeps saying how good synology is. But there are few real world reviews of the asustor. It is by far more powerful and...

    Asustor 5104 vs Synology 415+

I guess another factor would be the warranty. Asustor provides 3 years warranty vs Synology's 2 years. The synology surveillance station has 2 camera license vs Asustor's 4 license. Asustor does have an online demo: http://www.asustor.com/live_demo?lan=en But not having used any NAS before...

    Asustor 5104 vs Synology 415+

Thanks for your replies. Why do you say Synology or Qnap only? Is Asustor not ready for prime time yet? Software ADM issues? Please share your experience. SNB has listed the 5104 as #2. But I'm more keen on real world experience rather than possibly "sponsored" reviews.
