    GT-AXE16000 cant save Smart Connect settings

    Noticed the same behavior with my setup in regard to randomly switching to the 2.4ghz backhaul. To fix it, i turned off the 2.4ghz band in the node. Not an optimum fix, but in my setup i didnt need it.

    Resolved: For whatever reason, adding the 6ghz band as part of smartconnect seemed to agree with this setup, and it now connects with the "dedicated backhaul" setting. Go figure. Speedtest improvement of around 100mbs.

    If your going to splurge on the bid daddy spider it really should be your primary anyway. Or you could go the AP route. Got to ask, your ipad pro--is it the 11 inch 4th gen, or 12.9 6th gen? those are the only two ipad pro's that support 6e

    Switch the AXE16000 as your primary and make the other units nodes (if you want AiMesh). Note that you will be unable to access 6E from anywhere but your primary i.e. range considerations. You could also add the axe16k as an AP and I believe you would see the 6E band if in range. Good luck.

    Thanks for the quick reply. So to make sure im crystal clear before i got out and start returning things :)...you are saying that yes, going with two 5.9 UNI4 connected on a wireless backhaul will potentially double bandwidth over using the axe16000 "regular" 5g2 band on the backhaul? money...

    Thank you for your advice. Doesnt the axe16000 also have an extra 5g2 band to use dedicated for this? Or are you specifically referring to the UNI4 band that would backhaul in a dual ax11000 implementation? And really not needing the 10g ports, 2.5g is the sweet spot for me at this time and...
