Hi, this is a question on a network drive. It is not a NAS drive (so apologies if this is in the wrong section). I have an external hard drive that I need to place on my Network. It can't go in my router or my laptop unfortunately. My solution at the moment is to connect it via USB cable into a...

    Broken power button

This happened to me last night. I haven't even used that button once in 4 years. Will try the trick above but not sure it's the safest so - what's the best router to replace it with? ASUS ac68U any good? I use it to connect to a Virgin Media Hub 2 in modem mode. 3 tablets 3 phones are always...

    Turn PC on remotely

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I've not got the know how to even know where to begin. My problem I think is that I'm "double Natted" whatever that means. The DDNS side of things says "Invalid IP address" and "The wireless router currently uses a private WAN IP address (192.168.x.x, 10,x,x,x...

    Advice on firmware please. (RT-N66U)

Bump. So unfortunately I have still got wired speed problems and wired transfer rate problems. Before updating firmware I was on 13 MB/s over gb ethernet from pc to my USB connected to router. Now it's barely 8MB/s. which is disappointing. Suggestions welcome.
