    Android/Modem WAN connection workaround

I have a Netgear AC810 connected to the USB port. The device is detected by the router but no ip address is getting assigned to the router. When connected to a PC the PC get address 192.168.1.4 as expected. The udhpc command below (that I dont know if it is fully correct) looks like it obtain...

    AC87U 5Ghz guest network

I have 87u and enabled Guest on 5ghz a few days ago after a full reset. (never had it enabled before and used the same ssid as for 2.4). The client (Samsung Android) lost Internet access. So I went back to only use Guest on 2.4 where i have no issue. At the same time i got a lot of client ip...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

RT- AC87U. Dirty flash over 384.10_2. last factory reset is maybe 2-3 releases away. SNMP not responding and getting this error when disable/enable SNMP. Maybe time for a factory reset but I will save that for the FW release. So just reporting in case someone see the same behaviour. Apr 27...

openvpn set txqueuelen 1000 on tun interface

Hi, For a very long time I have been hunting the reason why I get corrupt files (and interruption) when copying big files over my vpn tunnel between two 87u routers. Thinking it might be due to UDP, MTU but at the same time not been able to make any sens of it. (TCP seams more stable and also a...

    AC86U - 2.4Ghz Band Dropping Connection

I'm running 87u with 384.5 For a long time I have been fighting with 2.4 configuration to keep my ~15 WiFi devices to be online (cameras and wifi power switches, etc). I check with ping ~15 min and there will nearly always be some devices that are not reachable. I have tried lots of combinations...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Sure, unfortunately it will have to wait as the router is in a remote location. Fore me I just want share the symptoms if some one else experience similar. If still relevant I will report back after factory reset but that will not be until a month from now. Thanks for quick feedback.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Sorry, yes I missed a few basics :) I have not done a factory reset (I know I should and will probably do at some stage) so I just want to share my observation as I have seen others reporting 2.4 issues on this FW. Router: RT-AC87U Last factory reset was on 380.xxx Have gone trough most versions...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

My observation on 384.4.2: Some 2.4GHz devices (sonoff wifi switch running ESPEasy) will stop answer on ping after a few minutes. Restarting the radio from cli (radio off; sleep 2; radio on) brings them back again to the network. My first work around was to add a cron job doing this every 20...

RT-AC68U with RMerlin 378.55_0 Firmware does not connect to WAN

I know that mac cloning did not work on the beta (for me on ac87u) in case you are using that on your wan port....

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 beta 2 is now available

I got the same problem. Reverted back to stable FW. Might register the routers default MAC with my ISP and try upgrading again later...
