ASUS RT-N16 + 378.50 + USB 3G/4G Modem issues

In 378.48 Merlin firmware was an option to choose connection for usb modem: auto, 4g, 3g. This option lost in 378.50 (discontinued for rt-n16), is there any way get it back, or any other way to send modem a command to lock on 3g network? Sending AT command "3g only" to modem (huawei e3272) from...
