    NETGEAR Debuts AC3200 Nighthawk

Speaking of the WNDR4000, I'm still rocking it here using DD-WRT. It seems the firmware images of subsequent generations of DD-WRT have eclipsed the size of the flash memory putting us holdouts at a bit of a dead end. I still don't see that as a reason to upgrade...perhaps if I needed to...

    Intel 633AN.HMWWB versus 633AN.HMWG

So I installed this guy, but I noticed that since my laptop was only equipped to handle the standard 2.4GHz radio, I have a shortage of one antenna connection for the configuration on the Intel 6300. For now, I simply connected the leads to 1 and 3 and left the middle socket disconnected...

    Intel 633AN.HMWWB versus 633AN.HMWG

Well, that's trivial enuff, thanks. I grabbed it with a $5 off coupon for $29 (including shipping), and now it's OOS. I guess the AC product will be due any day now. ;)

    Intel 633AN.HMWWB versus 633AN.HMWG

Intel 633AN.HMWWB versus 633AN.HMWG (resolved) One of these is the card used in the thorough testing on this site, but I am trying to differentiate the differences between both of these devices that appear when using "Intel Ultimate-N 6300" as the query on Froogle. Is there a significant...

    Recommendation for a wireless router

As your own research uncovered, the WNDR4000 is not as bad a choice as some would insinuate. DD-WRT is pretty solidly performing on said Netgear device as well.

    Netgear WNDR4000 Problems - Help?

Every manufacturer has had their rough patches. I've owned this model since September with nary a problem (has needed to be rebooted perhaps twice).

    EnGenius ESR300H hits the streets

So does the Netgear WNDR4000. ;)

    802.11n Adapter roundup

I'm using Windows 7 for which there are no drivers, just Vista 64-bit, which I might try installing now (not sure what's installed now, perhaps the default chosen by Windows).

    802.11n Adapter roundup

Right, well, this one was paired with the WL-500W at the time (when N was merely in its early draft stage). In any case, its software was written for a world filled with Windows XP (and the dawn of the painful Vista), so it's understandable to me there are bugs remaining given that fact. ;)...

    802.11n Adapter roundup

Could very possibly be the adapter itself, but I regularly use the Hibernate and Sleep functions a lot. When returning from sleep, the adapter has to regularly be disconnected and then physically reconnected before it reconnects. Other times, the PC fails to recognize the adapter without...

    802.11n Adapter roundup

I have an ole' Asus WL-160W (draft N) I'm using. I grow tired of using it because there are times when it stops functioning, and I am forced to reboot the machine to get it to be of any use again. I think that it is inherently fidgety basically due to being a USB device, and I want something...

    802.11n Adapter roundup

Does anyone have any experience with the HWTools devices? Specifically, would this device work on my MSI motherboard with an available PCI Express x1 (v 1.0a compliant) port? There's also this similar product (with a different model # and aesthetic, as far as I can tell, but performs the same...

    Netgear WNDR3800 Router

The WNDR4500 looks to be available for purchase now. This explains why Best Buy is receiving no more shipments of the 4000 as of this month. Other than an upgrade to two USB ports (still revision 2.0), I'm not clear on how this improves upon the 4000 model. EDIT: It looks like there's...

    Cisco e4200, D-Link DIR-855, WNDR4000, Airport Extreme..

The WNDR4000 is a good router for me (so far). This is my first Netgear wifi router (only other Netgear I recall owning is a wireless PCMCIA card I picked up on the cheap when CompUSA was going out of business several years back). I haven't used 5Ghz yet but the router hasn't required any...
