Hi,

Since long time (actually I reported this issue already on firmware 374.40) the Site Survey does not find any WLAN network (on my AC68U).

The manual execution of the apscan.asp returns an empty list:
child_macaddr = 'BC:EE:7B:xx:xx:xx'; _sw_mode = '1'; wlc_state = '0'; wlc_sbstate = '0'; wlc_scan_state = '3'; _wlc_ssid = '8f3610e3c9feabed953a6'; aplist = [];
On my N66U device the manual execution of apscan.asp returns a full list:
child_macaddr = '08:60:6E:xx:xx:xx'; _sw_mode = '3'; wlc_state = '0'; wlc_sbstate = '0'; wlc_scan_state = '3'; _wlc_ssid = '8f3610e3c9feabed953a6'; aplist = [["2G","3WebCube45FB","1","WPA2-Personal","AES","50","68:A0:F6:99:45:FC","bgn","0"],["2G","UPC1068582%5F2GEXT","1","WPA2-Personal","AES","55","20:0C:C8:26:00:C7","bgn","0"],["2G","UPC1068582","1","WPA2-Personal","TKIP+AES","100","8C:04:FF:BE:28:52","bgn","0"],["2G","","4","WPA2-Personal","AES","65","BC:EE:7B:xx:xx:xx","bgn","0"],["2G","UPC0521767","11","WPA2-Personal","TKIP+AES","18","64:7C:34:45:0B:EF","bgn","0"],["5G","","60","WPA2-Personal","AES","44","BC:EE:7B:xx:xx:xx","ac","0"]];
Is there anything I can dig into to find the reason for the problem with my AC68U unit?
As it's now not working for so long, I assume that it is a configuration problem on my side... :confused:

With kind regards

Disable the MAC filtering, as you are also filtering out visible APs.

Hi Merlin,

OK. This works without the MAC filtering.
But why it works on the N66U with enabled MAC filtering? Is it a bug or "works as designed"? ;)

Technical limitation of the closed source driver. The wireless driver simply fails to scan for APs when it's configured to also filter MACs.
