Occasional Visitor
Twice today on this site, I've encountered square floating pop-up adds labeled "Ad Choices." While these have a circled "x" in the right corner, presumably to close the popup, it is impossible (on my chrome browser) to click the "x." When the cursor is moved to the grey bar at the top of the ad, it becomes a four sided arrow, capable of moving the popup around the screen. It is not, however, possible to close the popup in this mode (doesn't recognize clicks).

The only way to get rid of popup is to navigate to a new page.

Screenshot below. (Weird highlighting of text behind the popup is an artifact of evernote, which I used to take the screenshot. Page did not actually appear highlighted this way.)

This is the first time I've ever encountered these here. Thought you'd want to know.

Sorry about that. Could you please relink the image, it is not showing. What product is being advertised and are you using a mobile device?

Image above shows in my browser. (I actually pasted it into message as I couldn't figure out how to link to it, for some reason.) I've uploaded and attached it to this email.

I'm using chrome browser on laptop with windows xp.

Ad in image says "Meet Cone, the thinking music player." I'm sorry but I don't remember what the second ad was for.

Fortunately, this has only happened twice today, even though I've spent a great deal of time on the site. So maybe a rare occurrence.

That's an ad triggered by hovering (or getting too close) to a double underlined link. Served by Kontera. It's not a virus.

You should be able to dismiss them. Could be an incompatibility with the web technology used by the combination of XP and Chrome.

Just stay away from the double-underlined links!
