RMerlin,

I propose a little typo correction.

As you can see in github there is "український" local word used for Ukrainian language in some files. It's incorrect. The correct spelling is "українська". It is a long story to explain, in short, the word currently used is a hybrid of russian and ukrainian local spelling, which is wrong. See Wikipedia.

Thanks :)

Thanks a lot for these clarifications.
Just one more question : is it possible as of today to get a log of client-accessed URL in your firmware? If yes, how can I do this?

Not the complete URLs, only the hostname visited. This is what the Web History page will show you.

ASUS has been on fire lately with firmware releases for the AC87U. How do you keep up, Merlin?

I don't even try to. That's why 378.52 is based on 378_4608.

USB 3 issue

so how can have it working again on the AC68P?

second question is it possible to use several disc with a hub I tried before the mishap but the Hub prevented detection of any disc?

Asuswrt only supports USB 2 hubs.

FA is automatically disabled by the firmware for various situations (and I haven't tracked them down, so I don't know which one specifically).

I asked Asus tech support...

"Kindly be informed that, There is no option to increase to the level 2 as it is home base router."

So I guess its impossible to get FA? Maybe the broadcom chip allows it but it is disabled?

I am running a replication from a NAS at the office & need to open a few ports for it.

Whenever I set a port forwarding setting, it disappears after the '100% saving your settings' refresh. With 52_1 it saved fine, but then it reset itself after a day.

I'm having an issue with 378.52_2 and my RT-AC68U. Along with other builds 52_1, 52_0, 51, didn't test further back. I had reset to factory the first time when I moved from DD-WRT to Merlin 52_2.

It had worked previously on stock & ddwrt firmwares.
---
Another issue I have is that my AC/5ghz network seems to be lost, my iPhone doesn't detect it and in the status bar on top only half of the WiFi logo is green.

802.11ac issue with RT-AC68 on 378.52_2 update.
------------------------------------------------------------
I notice my AC devices have downgraded the speed to 802.11n... does anyone else have this problem?

Run the filesystem check on a PC.

I succeeded finally to mount it and play music but wondering why the files does not run completly smooth (micro cut in audio) altought I am not using other activities on the router
Also USB application page is grey just keep updating!
Edit
The last one is fixed I just have to press cancel!

In my case just turn off "Spanning-Tree Protocol" and FA was on again.

Thanks! Finally got the time to do the upgrade including factory reset. This works flawlessly on my RT-AC68U

One question: What is the reason to bind MAC and IP to each other in the Network Map?

How are you testing? I noticed along the same time as the update a lot of speedtest.net locations were reporting slower than usual speeds as well. Selecting various servers seems to report the full speeds again but others are slow. So it appears that the issue may be with some of the speedtest locations in this case. Maybe try Inssider and see if maybe you are having channel interference with neighbors.

Recently bought a rt-ac87u. Very happy with its performance so far except for the bugs. I am currently using 378.52_2 .

When I go to Tools, it tells me I am using CTF Only as Hardware Accelerator. Shouldnt it be CTF + FA ? I dont have any QoS settings on or per IP monitoring.

Also, is there an option somewhere to disable Web History?

Lastly, does it matter if I put it on a wall? I am talking about temps. CPU is already at 73C, 5ghz at 61C and 2.4ghz at 44C
You have to disable everything in the traffic analyzer, adaptive qos & ai protection tabs for it to turn back on FA. I found this out as I had the same issue as you. You may also have to (not sure myself as I had them disabled already) all or some of the stuff in the usb application and ai tools tabs. I can't confirm what though. I do however have a usb disk plugged in and working fine and FA is still on.

But the first 3 tabs I mentioned are a must... and I mean everything in them.

I figured as much, which is why I kept them disabled while trying to get FA to work. Disabling STP did the trick.

Its only traffic analyzer, qos, ai protection and STP for me. Maybe it is possible ot use DNS filtering considering the filtering would be done at the server and not router.

DHCP static lease.

Aha! Thanks...
Main reason for asking was that making a static lease resulted in a complete (probably intended) reboot.
