I update firmware from 52_2 to 53 and in version 53 is come back bug with show on network map to device which has add static IP in LAN that show STATIC and MANUAL. In version 52_2 is ok because show onlu MANUAL. Not show for some STATIS and for some MANUAL.

Asus is constantly making changes to the networkmap, so I'm not touching it until they stabilize it on their end.

I`ve upgarde from .43 to .53 and everything goes well but i lost extrnal services as cherokee srv and transmission. i`ve recive this msg.
Apr 27 22:49:11 rc_service: httpd 281:notify_rc restart_firewall
Apr 27 22:49:11 start_nat_rules: apply the nat_rules(/tmp/nat_rules_eth0_eth0)!
Apr 27 22:49:12 admin: sh /opt/S80cherokee.1 firewall-start
Apr 27 22:49:12 admin: sh /opt/S95transmission.1 firewall-start

If i'm using it under internal network goes well. Any ideas?

The last line of your log is telling you what's the problem.

thanks but how to enable this i've already try with chmod a+rx /jffs/scripts/* but nothing happnd

System -> Administration, in the JFFS2 section.

Custom script/configs are no longer enabled by default, because the JFFS2 partition now is (Asus started using it for various things), and this could create a situation where a router could be stuck even after a factory default reset if someone were to create a broken config file through that.

Thanks works fine.

Thanks for the update. However maybe I am just stupid, but I don't see Policy routing anywhere. I got 87U and I upgraded from 378.52.

Am I doing something wrong?

Merlin,

Do you think it will be possible to extend policy routing to PPTP/L2TP clients in a future release of your firmware?

Just flashed my RT-AC68U.
Everything ok but now upload speed from PC to router's usb hdd via FTP is too slow (12 MB/s). Download with FTP is ok (60 MB/s), upload & download with Samba is also ok.
PC is connected to router at 1 Gbps through cat6 cable. QoS is disabled and 'reducing USB 3.0 interference' is also disabled.
¿Could anyone please try to replicate this to check if it has something to do with the new firm?

No means that no Internet traffic will go through the tunnel. This is mostly useful if you are using a tunnel to connect to a remote network, rather than a way to hide your Internet traffic. "all traffic" means all Internet traffic gets redirected, which is the same as the former "Yes" setting.

I do connect to a paid VPN to bypass ISP blocks, georestrictions, etc. I want all traffic going outside my LAN to go through the tunnel. I've always used the "no" setting in the past and everything worked as intended. It still does. So, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around what you're saying here.

What I understand is that "no" is intended to allow access to (for example) a corporate network, while my own personal internet traffic would go in the clear. My use of "no" in the past was probably still doing what I wanted because of the routes pulled from the VPN server. Correct?

That's because your tunnel provider is probably pushing all the necessary routes to force the traffic through their tunnel - many will do that, so users don't have to manually configure routing. They end up then doing the same thing the router would normally do if you set it to "All traffic".

You need to tell your router to not pull routes from them if you don't want them to override your config (I forgot the exact config line to do that, something along the lines of "route nopull").

No plan to, as I consider both PPTP and L2TP to be deprecated. The only reasons they are there is because Asus added it. My VPN focus is strictly on OpenVPN.
