New Around Here
Hi, im looking for a website or forum that has any kind of DETAILED technical specification database that has router information, everything ive found on SNB has been either too little or too simple, theres no way to compare by hardware parts, only by test scores, and all the router sheets on SNB are in "tipical tech review" form.

basically im looking for the router version of this:

pdadb.net/index . php?m=pdamaster

Every single place online ive found has information for the general populace, im trying to find somwhere that has intricate stuff like flash memory part numbers & models, radio chipsets, antenna dbi, radio power in mw, etc, and so far every place ive found is way way simple, i guessed someone here might have an idea where to find this info, it doesnt matter which brand, im trying to search for specific hardware parameters and having something like this would really help

Maybe some obscure forums like XDADevelopers is for phones?

Any help would be really apreciated.

I figured if anyone knew of such a place it would be you guys.

Would be happy to do this - how much do you want to spend?

Contact me via PM here...

Well.... i was hoping to get it from a website, preferably free.. however if you have a compiled list of "mayor" routers with all the routers and their specs and when i mean specs i mean AT LEAST 100+ specs per router, stuff like ethernet chipset info, hardware versions, FCC IDs etc, on a bunch of retail routers they i can probably persuade my company to assign funds for that list.

Again it would have to be real good.....

WikiDevi is the closest thing to what you want. Why do you want this detailed information?

Yeah i figured wikki devi is the way to go, I have downloaded the XML file, and are proceeding to port it to Excel, once i do ill save it on .csv and post it here so future people dont have to go through all the pain to get this info in a database friendly format.

Were trying to develop a special aplication router that needs to be powerfull, compatible and survive basically under any climate and tough enough to take a bullet to the board and keep on kicking, and we need to find out if any commercial units already have most of the requirements tech wise so we can contact the manufacturer and request a custom version with the least ammount of mods possible to meet our specs, so we can save on design time and manufacturing costs.

Thanks for the responses.

I've done a number of designs, including outdoor and ruggedized AP's/Customer Premises Equipment, so if you're in SoCal, perhaps we should talk ;)

hehe im over FAR from the US atm but ill be back in Lackland AFB in San Antonio around june, ill send you a mail then to see if you maybe give us a hand with that part of the project, were working on the board atm and not up to the enclosures yet but if you already have something done we can probably work something out.

Ill keep in touch

As promised here is the Complete databaase dump from WikkiDevi, all credit goes to them, i merely dumped the XML,cleaned all the random/broken stuff and converted into a more useable form.

I tried uploading the DB but aparently .csv (comma separated values or text) file uploads are not allowed so ill post a dropbox link that will be active for 30 days, maybe someone from admin can actually upload the file on this thread for future benefit?

If not and by the time you see this in the future the link has expired just send me a PM and ill send you the database file.

Thanks to everyone on the thread for all the help, most certainly saved me a lot of work, i hope this saves someone else the same work later.
