Hey Guys,

I've been running rmerlin 378.53 since it came out with no issues up until now. Twice in the past week the router has rebooted on me for no reason (RT-AC87U).

The only difference in my setup is that I've moved to a pure IPOE type connection from my provider where I receive an IP via DHCP.

Does the router store any logs or anything that I could send for someone to analyze ?

THanks

Haven't experienced any issues and I've been running this version since one or two days after it came out.

The only issue I ever had was that once my NAS wasn't mounted anymore and that it wasn't possible to remount it again except if I performed a reboot. That only happened one single time though and only one other forum member has reported that issue so far. It should be noted however, that I'm rebooting my router via a script every 24hrs.

I have the same exact issue with the 378.53. The DHCP Server tab goes to the page but cuts off all the options. And the apply button does nothing. I've had this issue for a few versions now. I emailed the Merlin group support. I have power cycled and done a factory reset to no avail.

Do you have any manually assigned IPs? If so, you probably have an invalid character in one of the host names. Telnet/SSH to the router and enter

nvram set dhcp_staticlist=
nvram commit

Then reset your IP assignments and make sure your hostnames only contain alphanumerics and the '-' or '_'.

Thank you that fixed it! So when I go into each computers settings I should set their hostnames correctly there? Otherwise it disturbs the way ASUS static routes?

Thanks guys. Apologies for the late reply I've been away. Since I posted this it hasn't happened again. I'll monitor it.

Thanks
