New Around Here
Morning all.
I recently purchased an ASUS RT-AC66U and have this morning upgraded to the ASUS-Merlin Firmware.
I now need to find my way around a bit to see whats what.. I read somewhere about turning off the routers "lights" ?
Anyway, my question. I have three apple tv`s and a Roku 3 ( Roku is basically just for plex ) I want to connect the apple tv`s on wifi with vpn (or smart DNS , currently using ) on their own little network.
How can I do this using the new firmware please ?
Can I set vpn on wifi but not on cable ? Use the guest network facility somehow ?
Any help or advise welcomed and appreciated but with a "how to " please as my knowledge is not too hot..

thank you all and I look forward to some serious learning curves..

Managed to sort this out myself, I have now got a vpn connection on all the apple tv boxes and a wifi vpn for the Roku....sorted and thank you..

Cool - care to share and let everyone else know what worked?

Sorry, just seen this..
Basically , for the Apple TVs set up a VPN profile using apple configurator on your Mac and connect to your apple tv to install it.. The Roku, set up a wifi vpn on your mac and name it something different, then connect your Roku to that wifi signal. All this is available just by having a google for it, which was what I did as I did not seem to get any info from the forum..

Cheers..

I setup vpn on my router. Its a simple blanket solution for all clients in the house. Plus the only way I could figure out how.

Hi, yes that's what I did to start off with, as you say it covers everything which you don't always want..

Doh, should have recalled this - AppleTV is just another IOS device, so yes, one can build a profile and send it over to the AppleTV...

Awesome tip, and good catch!
