Hi All

I have finally decided to go for 2 AC68Us for my home One will be in the living room as the main router and the other inside the bedroom. Both will be connected via ethernet cable. Could you please help on what setting I must keep on the 2nd router inside. Repeater mode or media bridge or.... this would be my first Asus router so any help with setting would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sunny

Run the second router in access point mode. Connected from a Lan port on the main router to the wan port on the second router.

Just another thought. Since the second ac68 will be connected as an AP would I also make sense to save some money and go in for a ac66u or an ac56u. Would Ithat make any difference on performance or would I miss any features? Just asking since the cost reduction would be a couple of thousand bucks!

Thanks

Sunny

Ok Never Mind David

I just checked the prices currently. There's a very negligible difference between ac56u 66u and 68u

Cheers

You could sub the ac68 for a ac66 or ac56 and it wouldn't hurt. I run a ac68 as my main with a ac66(converted sprint wifi connect) connected thru media bridge mode. The link between the two stays around 866 so it's not bad but nothing beats hardwired if you can.
