Huawei EchoLife HG612 to Asus AC68, PPPoA bridging to PPPoE

My HG612 has arrived and I am trying to get it to work with my Ac68U. ISP is BT Broadband which only supports PPPoA, so I need to bridge.

Anyone know how to get this to work?

Even running as a standard PPPoA modem running with a NAT (so double NAT), my AC68 does not connect. I want to get out of the double NAT problem.

You should be able to use PPPOE with the modem in bridge mode. Try it first and see if it works. PPPOA is PPP over ATM networks while PPPOE is PPP over ethernet. So PPPOE when bridge to an ATM network should become PPPOA.

Got it! Disable "Enable VPN + DHCP Connection" on the AC68 PPPoE settings.
