Hi,

I like to keep a copy of the firmware used on my routers in case of unexpected problem requiring reloading the firmware.

So where can I get the firmware for the Australian D7800?

My D7800 has, according to the router, firmware version 1.0.0.36.
But there is no such firmware available for the D7800 on the Netgear site.
Version 1.0.0.38 is listed as the initial release for the device.

Can someone help with this question please?

I'm based in the UK and the public release FW for UK units is 1.0.0.38.

Checking with engineering if 1.0.0.38 is a valid release for Australia.

Hi...v1.0.0.38 can be downloaded from the NETGEAR support site at: http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/dsl-modems-routers/D7800.aspx#tab-support

This version works fine for Australia.

If you need a copy of v1.0.0.36, I can arrange this.

Thanks, I have already downloaded a copy of v1.0.0.38 and really only needed confirmation that this version is OK to be used since the firmware search for an update doesn't find it.

I would only need a copy of v1.0.0.36 if I have a problem with v1.0.0.38, as v1.0.0.36 is functioning OK except for some possible unexpected wireless disconnects but I haven't confirmed that so it I don't think it's a serious problem.

Thanks Ian...let me know if any changes...

Version 1.0.0.38 seems to be functioning fine.
In fact my Samsung UA5H8000 than couldn't connect to the 5GHz wireless does with this release.
So the only problem I had for sure is resolved.

I also have a fairly poor ADSL line which can be a challenge for device modems and the D7800 deals with that quite well so far.

Thank you for the positive feedback Ian...really good to hear the D7800 is coping well..
