Add another AC1750 access point or just get an AC3200 router?

So right now I'm using an Asus RT-AC68U in my home with about 40 devices accessing it at any time on both 2.4 and 5 GHz. I'd like to move off my NAS and NVR (which are using a wireless bridge to connect) to a separate 3rd band so avoid some wireless bandwidth issues. My first instinct was to upgrade to an AC3200 router, but after thinking about it, why not just get another AC1750 or AC1900 access point and put my NAS and NVR on that? Any thoughts or recommendations?

sure as long as its connect back to the main rt-ac68u by ethernet just get another rt-ac68u and run in AP mode

you can use the same ssid and passphrase just use different channels for both 2.4 and 5 gig to avoid interference
