    CFE bootloader update

Hmm. WinSCP didn't work - I've tried all the options. I'm running stock .4.220 - do I need to do something to make it work with WinSCP? As for the hard way - I'm a sucker for punishment. :) If all nvserial is doing is just injecting the strings back into the CFE binary, it shouldn't...

    CFE bootloader update

2 questions: Does anybody have the source to nvserial? Was hoping to make a Windows version to avoid having to go through a Linux VM just for one thing. Did you guys just use a USB drive to drag the original CFE off, or was there a way to copy files off the router I didn't know about?

    RT-N66U Router Name Change ?

Wrong names - OP is talking about the predefined URL to the router, not the SSID or share names. I don't believe there is any way of changing the URL without modifying the firmware directly.

    ASUS RTN66U Range Help (Please).

Maybe two APs with a tightly bound directional antenna? Basically use the APs as a fixed position wireless "cable". Not sure what AP/antenna combination you can buy. Not going to be cheap though. It's probably specialized equipment at this point.

    Heat issues with the 66U

Nope, mine does get hot. Even at around 17°C ambient temperature. I've complained to Asus, but they aren't willing to do a cross-ship or advance shipping, so I need to find and configure another router before I can do a replacement to see if it fixes the issue.

What browser are you using to configure the router? Also, your BT client may be using UPnP, which is why you see the ports already forwarded on your router, even when using non-standard ports.

ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router Reviewed

I don't think you need to enter the local port if it isn't different.

ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router Reviewed

Did you use the famous server list or manually input the ports?

Working for me... You tried a hard reset just to clear things up?

    RT-N66U - Questions before purchase

Yes - LAN --> DHCP --> Manual assignment (it even shows the client name, if it can figure it out). The interface is not a fixed limit (add button just adds new lines), however, I have not determined the maximum number of port forwards. Note that if you need range forward with different...
