    Unstable WiFi on both RT-AC68U and RT-AC87U, forced to reconnect wireless clients

    I have exact same issue. WiFi on mobile devices gradually dies. WiFi is still connected but internet won't work until I turn off & on the WiFi function on the client devices.

    You are right, reflashing does nothing. But the modem was still on during the whole process before the router was able to retrieve the WAN IP. I forgot to mention that I had cloned my computer's MAC address before the modem was able to assign the IP. I did some testing again last night and...

    I also have this same problem with RT-N66U, RT-AC66U and Mikrotik OS Routerboard. They share exact same problem. They were unable to obtain/renew IP address from the modem (SB6121, SB6141, and uBee) once it was released. Rebooting the router doesn't work, reboot modem doesn't work either...

    I have six wireless clients, all running 2.4ghz. 3 ipads on video call at same time for 3 hours, 2 desktop (both on watching hd video streams for 4 hours) and 1 laptop. No disconnection.

    I had issue with 102 too. Internet starts dropping. Keep losing WAN IP, couldn't renew. So I just upload the stock asus firmware with NVRAM erase option enabled, reverted back to stock firmware. Please note, it take really long to time get the router back online. I even had to reflash the router...

    How is 095 working out for you guys? I tried earlier version but it was too buggy. Now I'm running .151 beta from Asus, pretty good but I'm more interested in Tomato firmware.

I've seen many routers fail due to overheat problem when ambient temperature rises just like many electrical equipments do...
