[SOLVED] RT-AC68U - Brick and can't take any firmware via recovery

Stop the cfe, then type: nvram erase then enter. Don’t do nvram commit. After doing the nvram erase you should have a continuous ping of ttl=100 Then type: flash -noheader : nflash1.trx. Note it’s nflash. Then I use tftpd32/64 by jourin to upload the firmware. After it uploads, wait till...

    asus ac68u router voltage

I’m confused. Shouldn’t he be plugging in the routers 19v power adapter into the 24v ups? Is so wouldn’t it be running as it normally would be if plugged into a wall outlet?

    asus ac68u router voltage

I wouldn’t see what not. Not sure what your voltage is in Australia but here in the USA it’s 110v. The router gets the 19v from the power adapter not what is supplied to it, as long as it is more than 19v. The concern I would have is the amperage. Will your ups have enough amps?

    Is my Asus RT-AC68U broken?

The wan port might have gone out. You can use the dual wan function to assign one of the lan ports to be the wan port.

    Bricked AC3200

Only thing I can suggest is try to use alternative firmware. Like dd-wrt. I’m not sure tomato is available for it. Try this ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/09-24-2019-r41117/asus-rt-ac3200/asus_rt-ac3200-firmware.trx

    Bricked AC3200

I use tftpd64. I don’t change the name of the file. I just type: flash -noheader: nflash1.trx and I hit upload on the tftpd64. Set your nic to 192.168.9.1, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1. If after typing nvram erase, no need for nvram commit, you aren’t getting ttl=100 responses, you won’t be able...

    Bricked AC3200

Stop the boot process by hitting repeatedly control and c as soon as you power it up. At the cfe prompt type: nvram erase. At this point you should get ttl=100 from ping response. Then at the cfe prompt type: flash -noheader : nflash1.trx. Then use tftpd32 or tftpd64 to upload the firmware.
