speed of Apple Extreme v. Verion FiOS router

I ended up getting the Apple Extreme. After some hiccups with the setup, range is both better and speed is better than the Verizon router (I'm using it with the n radio, not with the newer ac radio that is now in the updated Apple Extreme).

speed of Apple Extreme v. Verion FiOS router

Any thoughts on this? I think this issue may be coming to a head for me, as I set up my NAS.

speed of Apple Extreme v. Verion FiOS router

NAS vs. Mac Mini w\ Thunderbolt Drives?

speed of Synology v. Mac Mini server I was hoping to revisit this topic. On my end, I'm primarily interested in making >1 TB of imaging files available over the network. My main question is speed (and assuming money is not an issue): how would the speed of accessing files on a Mac Mini...

    Synology Hybrid RAID v. Drobo's

I've read that one of the limitations of the Drobo's system is proprietary nature of its RAID implementation, making recovery more difficulty. I was wondering if the same holds true with Synology's SHR?

Can a NAS double as USB External Drive?

I have the same question too. Once I move my stuff over to the NAS, I'm looking for the best way to back it up online, e.g. with Crash Plan or another service. I've read elsewhere that e.g. Synology can be backed up to Crash Plan with a few extra implementations and a work around, but I'm...
