Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

Noticed something else that is breaking on this build. Web History under Adaptive QoS, randomly stops logging info after a period of time. From the math I did in my head, after about 20 hours of uptime. Web History logging stopped. I have tested Web History before this newer 388 build, and it...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

I tried that. At first they were probably 20+ feet apart, with walls, and such in the way. I ended up having the AX68U within 3-4 feet of the AX6000, didn't help.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

I have my main router AX6000, and a AX68U running this beta. AiMesh is broken when both devices are running this build. The AX6000 will show the AX68U as a node that can be added. However it will go through the process, seems the AX68U even reboots while it tries to add it as a node. However...

    Android/IPhone issue

Appreciate the reply Tech Junky, to be honest my router is setup pretty much standard factor settings, with wifi enabled, and like two port forwarding rules. Whatever is going on, has to be related to "default" settings on the router, you would get after a factory reset. I'm not using any added...

    Android/IPhone issue

Definitely possible they have wifi calling enabled. Under WAN-NAT passthough tab, both L2TP, and IPsec are enabled. I don't currently use anything VPN related router side. If they're using WiFi calling, I'm guessing disabling it might help? However is there a setting router side that could...

    Android/IPhone issue

I think this could be possibly related to an issue with the router, maybe a setting issue? Here's the issue when my brother(Android), or niece(IPhone) are connected to the router(AX6000) via 5ghz wifi. If they send each other a text that includes a picture, or video. The person who's receiving...

    Looking for wireless setup/settings suggestions

Well I just started using a GT-AX6000 as my main router, with an AX68U to extend wifi in my home. Currently I have the AX68U as a mesh node via wired backhaul. I'm curious though would I be better off running the AX68U in AP mode, and not as a mesh node? Reason I ask this, is I do like as much...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Anyone want to help out on what I need to manually disable, and how to do it, so Time Scheduling under Parental Controls works? As I just tested it a little bit ago on the AX6000, and it doesn't work. I'm guessing Runner, or Flow Cache need to be disabled. Doesn't seem there's an option within...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

I seen someone mention some wireless issues with certain devices on the alpha, and pretty sure someone else mentioned another issue they were having with their GT-AX6000. So I just decided to use the 386.6 build for now.

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well I got my new GT-AX6000 this morning, got it setup running Merlin's latest non alpha build on it. Now I have a AX68U coming in later today, to hopefully connect wired mesh downstairs to boost wifi. Currently I have a AX88U as a AP downstairs. However it's in the smart panel closet. Overall...

    improve wifi coverage suggestions wanted

Well I just ordered a new GT-AX6000 to run as my main router. However I'm looking to add a secondary device, or mesh system to improve my home's wifi coverage. I have done a little looking myself the last 24 hours online. But seems with a lot of the mesh systems I looked at, reliability seems...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well I'm thinking of maybe going with Asus RT-AX92U 2 pack, run them in mesh with the AX6000. Anyone reading this have an opinion on the AX92U? Anyone with hands on use of theses?

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well I'm trying to cover about 2500-3000sqft. I have one room upstairs on one side of the house, where Modem/GT-AX6000 will be located. I'm trying to keep the opposite of the house covered pretty well, plus keep the backyard decently covered, as I have a pool, and so wifi can be useful outback...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well my home has a smart panel, and almost every room has a wall plate with dual coax, with ethernet, and a phone line connection. Only one room that I'm aware of, the ethernet line is damaged, and that outlet doesn't work. So I can honestly connect a mesh system wired if needed. My biggest...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well the GT-AX6000 is ordered. Now I'm still looking at adding a second router, or such, to extend my wifi, and keep it as strong as possible in my home. As I mentioned in my last post, kind of want something lower profile, and not a straight up router. Incase I need to put it out in the open, I...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

You got me really thinking about this now. I'm really looking at buying one GT-AX6000 now, however I'm willing to spend another $300-400, to maximize my home wifi coverage. As for the AX68U, I was thinking about getting something more low profile, that has more shelf appeal. Because I'm at the...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

Well I like that you mentioned this. However just looking, you can't even find the XT12 for sale anywhere, only the ET12. Which would currently cost $200 more than two GT-AX6000 routers. ASUS XT12: Pros 1. I like the design, tall but no where near as wide as the GT-AX6000 2. Shelf appeal is...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

I thought about them. But isn't the wifi antennas in a fixed position? Curious your thoughts on that? I have upstairs in my home, reason I mentioned the antennas position.

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

The longer I wait for the AXE16000 to launch, the more I'm back considering buying two GT-AX6000, and a 5 port 2.5gb switch. Cost would be a bit over a $100 more. However I currently use a two router setup anyways. With the 2nd router in the smart panel closet extending wifi range. Reason for...

    GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE16000 question

I honestly don't feel bad for no one in this case. There was never a promised release date. Simply an estimated preorder date. Also if you're referring to the very small number of amazon orders. That in itself was a luck of the draw for the slim number of people who caught wind of it being put...
