    Asus RT N56U Problem

    Thanks for the reply. I am on the Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.318. Edit: I just upgraded my router to Padavan's firmware. Is there a QoS function? The lag spiking is still present. (occuring every 30s for 3s)

    When I wirelessly connect a either of the networks. I get disconnected from the network every 1 minute for 2 seconds or there is a large latency ping spike. Also, I am wondering if I should upgrade my firmware to Padavan's firmware. Thanks,

    Unstable downloadspeeds

    I recently purchased this dual band router. I notice that my downloadspeed is very unstable. I check my speeds via speedtest.net. I get a max downloadspeed of 40mpbs, but it suddenly drops to 6-8 mpbs. Thanks,

    Occasional latency lag on the 5Gz Network

    I get occasional latency spikes when playing league of legends on the 5 Gz Network. The 2.4 Gz Network is more stable. The ping would spike to ~200 every interval. e.g. 86ms 239ms 90ms 203ms How can I fix this problem? Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.318 Thanks,

    I just purchased the Asus RT56U

    When I first I logged into the webpage, the top right states that it is the RT-N53 model. I am able to connect to the 5Gz connection, but after the latest update (Version 3.0.0.4.264), I don't even see the network. The update was downloaded from the RT-N53 webpage. Thanks, Problem is fixed...
