    Dumb VLAN Question

I’m trying to get my head around subnetting as I venture in VLAN setups home/small business network. I have an all-Ubiquiti network with a UDM-Pro gateway, Unifi 24-port switch, and UAC WiFi device – all rock solid so far. Here’s my really dumb question... I’m trying to sort out two different...

    Dual NIC for File Server

Thanks for laying this out. The "why" is driven by security requirements on the business side - I need assured isolation to keep investors happy. I worried about exactly what you brought up... separating and then trying to work inside a multi-purpose box. I'll go ahead and invest in a dedicated...

    Dual NIC for File Server

I operate a home business. In my media room I built a large workstation that serves many functions: kids use it as a game box, it serves up my music and media around the house via Squeezebox and Plex, monitors security systems and cams, and it provides file backups for my business. The machine...

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

Update... I reset the nvram and started over with one client connected and adding one IP/MAC at a time by hitting the "Apply" button each time. Though it took awhile to load the whole table it's all in there. I reconnected everything on the LAN, rebooted, and everything's working very...

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

Hi Merlin - I wondered about that... so I triple checked the hostnames and they're all pretty plain jane. Rebooting doesn't seem to clear the page, but resetting the nvram via telnet does the trick. I'll reset it again and start over following your advice and see where I get.

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

Okay - here's what I found. I did a nvram reset via Telnet using: mtd-erase -d nvram reboot Everything went smoothly. I went back in and created the IP range I wanted (192.168.1.100-255) and hit "Apply" - took it with no problem. Then I entered the first assignment and hit "Apply" - no...

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

Many thanks for the advice. Yes - I did an NVRAM reset when I loaded 23b, but not before. I manually loaded the table, but I loaded the entire table before hitting "Apply" vs 1 by 1. I'll try another reset and see if that clears it out.

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

The DHCP page won't take any inputs... tried entering a single line and "Apply" but nothing happens. Rebooted and no change. The page comes back up as shown and is inert. The only thing I can do with this page is hit the browser back button to return the LAN tab under "Advanced Settings".

    23b LAN/DHCP Page Misloading

Loaded 23b in a new 66u - Asus 260 wasn't working - very slow. I updated to your 23b and voila! - problems disappeared - GREAT JOB. In Chrome and IE, I noticed that the DHCP page has issues. I enabled "manual assign" and entered my IP/MAC list... when I hit "Apply" the page came back cut...

    Media Server from iPhone

I 'm using 3.0.0.4.260 and have successfully loaded Download Manager and Media Server. After a lot of struggle I was able to get everything working on the LAN side. I also downloaded the AiCloud app for my iPhone 5 and got that working over WiFi. I then installed AceMusic and was able to...
