    Thanks for the suggestions. Prior to my post I had used WPA-PSK [TKIP] Then (prior to post) I changed to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] and it seemed better on the computers but no difference on the iPhones. Channel interference might explain why I have a pretty good signal level but can't...
