[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thank you John much appreciated. I am the one you talk about on your OP. I was on Merlin 374.38_2 (one of the last with web ui commands), however, the sata USB drive was dying so in the switch I crashed everything and brought back up with your RT-N66U_374.43_43E6j9527. Was a bit confused with...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thank you; Said it would be somthing silly, it is working now as hoped. Is there a way to create a REJECT_log chain? Or get the log command slipped in? I can replace logdrop after I monitor for a bit. It is much appreciated, sorry guys just a wee bit OT . Regards

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thank you for your time. I had already tried that chain but have again with no luck. I tried it with the GUI firewall "logged packet types" set to none, dropped, both and still no logging (which one should be set in the GUI, should none still work and it is overridden?). If I ping out, from a...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Hi I am hoping one of the masters here can help me and since this is an older merlin build, 374.38_2, and I did not want to start an entire new thread I thought posting it here may help me. I am trying to get the entries if my /jffs/scripts/firewall-start file to log to the system log (or any...

    Late version with Cmd tool

Thank you, I do not use tabs I use multiply windows. I have tabs on a task bar I do not need dual tabs. We guess you would not implement it again with a disable/enable toggle and keep something different than Asus stock firmware? Regards

    Late version with Cmd tool

That is what I did was read the change log? Was just looking for confirmation. I can pageant SSH Authentication key in no problems. Without knowing a multi character highly secure password and with ssh and telenet disabled what can they do? I think you are wrong about faster to run one...

    Late version with Cmd tool

Hi I am currently on Firmware:3.0.0.4.374.38_2 From the change logs was 374.40 (6-March-2014) the last version with tools - run cmd? I am not national defense and security can be obtained elsewhere. Like this option and wondering where the merger began, I think 374.41 (18-Apr-2014)...

    Wireless asus upgrade

Thank you for jumping on my terminology and yes you are right. Thank you for the suggestion but no, usb is what runs my optware, transmission, other scripts that run at boot. I hot swap my backup drives and store them in a fire box, I have no need for a true NAS. Any advice on what I...

    Wireless asus upgrade

I would like to upgrade my NAS to usb 3. I would like some comments on what direction I should go. Should I wait and get a RT-AC87U Should I wait and buy a RT-AC68U when the 87 comes out and the prices drop. Should I buy the RT-AC68U now. My network is gigabit mostly and hard...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

Rt-n66u Fixed my flakey router problem with 374.38_2, probably does not have anything to do with firmware version. All started when upgrading from an older firmware prior to the change log stating set to default special requirements etc. Upgraded firmware since but still strange problems...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

Yes OpenVPN is what I was talking about every reboot the "client" Service state is off and it needs to be turned on and applied before it connects to the vpn server. I was not aware that asus had a client and I thought it was just OpenVPN. Maybe I am a bit confused. Regards

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

Is it a requirement that after reboot the VPN client service state is set to off (when was on prior) and you need to turn it on and apply after each reboot? Regards
