Would I get an upgrade in range from a R7800 to an R9000?

I think the best way to extend coverage is to add more AP’s. I had the Netgear R8500 with active antennas and while it was a good consumer router it didn’t have any more range than my ASUS AC66R. I use Ubiquiti gear now with multiple AP’s and have the coverage needed. Hope this helps... Sent...

For maximum coverage and speed, what is better X10 or X8?

Interesting. I would say ubiquiti requires quite a bit more tuning but overall will provide better performance, reliability and control over your network infrastructure. However to stay on topic, the X8 is a very good consumer router with dual 5Ghz radios and LACP support are nice features if...

For maximum coverage and speed, what is better X10 or X8?

I had an X8 and it was an excellent consumer router. Purchased it for the ability to aggregate ports and the dual 5Ghz radios. Coverage and speed were great, but I only used it in AP mode behind a FiOS gateway. I don’t think you can go wrong with the X8 and unless you go enterprise or prosumer...

Nighthawk X8- R8500 Tri Band Quad Stream WiFi Router

The router has been very stable for me so far. I do see some high latency and slowdown when downloading large files from the internet and currently working with Netgear support to resolve. Their support has been fantastic so far. I had given up on Netgear and switched to Asus until this router...

Nighthawk X8- R8500 Tri Band Quad Stream WiFi Router

I see solid 100 MB/s on LAN transfers as well going to a Synology DS1513+ and to be honest the router is quite stable even at this early stage. Enabled LAG but have not tested with multiple PCs yet. It does lack some features I would like, Jumbo Frame support for example. I bet this can be...
