[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Using the feedback option within the router's webgui seems to get a quick response from the Asus devs.

    ASUS Makes AiMesh Official

I hope it continues to work for you! Just picked up another 68U after seeing this official release, and I am finding that with wired backhaul my speeds from the node are quite slower. In fact, both download and upload seem to be halved or more with internet test speeds. Definitely strange.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

I actually tried all 3 to the same results. Also tried with DOCSIS preset and also the WAN packet overhead set to '0' (but not every combination)... strange, right?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

Adaptive QOS question, if someone could help. For the first time, I've enabled QOS, and put in my linespeed slightly less than the speedtest results (I test at 350 down, 25 up, entered 335 down, 20 up). As soon as I enabled Adaptive QOS, my download speeds are limited to about 170-180, and my...

    Custom DDNS with inadyn inbuilt?

How long do your power outages last? I have my router, modem, and server hooked up to a UPS that can easily go 30+ minutes with an idle load. If this is an important feature for you, perhaps picking up a reliable UPS would be the simplest way to go.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 is out

Based on my personal experiences, I think there is an issue with NAT Loopback in this version. For me, it works for a short period of time, then stops working. But I haven't seen any confirmation of this being a known issue.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 is out

My apologies for not being able to better diagnose my issue, but I think I'm having some NAT loopback issues with my AC68U and 378.50. On the previous beta, I didn't have this problem. A search within this thread seems to be NAT loopback comments related to the AC87U... Here's what's going...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 2 is out

Aw, bummer. After I read your initial reply, I went ahead and flashed with the most recent Asus firmware. And sure enough, now I'm on 1.0.2.0. Sorry I won't be able to test with the final update, but hopefully some other people can hold out. Thanks for all that you do, Merlin!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 2 is out

Hi Merlin, thanks for the response. That was the first thing I tried. Still displaying 1.0.1.6, and tried in a different browser/cleared cache.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 2 is out

Just flashed beta 2 on my AC68U (from beta 1). Under tools, CFE version is still 1.0.1.6, though under the firmware section, signature is 1.028 (which I originally thought corresponded to the CFE since it used to be 1.016... but maybe that's separate). Should I go ahead and flash with the...

Is anyone successfully using Time Machine with an AC68?

Hi all, One of the main reasons (aside from AC speeds) in moving from the N66 to the AC68 was its Time Machine capability. However, I am finding that it is very unreliable. Let me explain... After a period of time (sometimes a week, sometimes a month), I'll get an error on my Mac saying...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

AC68U here. Running into an ongoing problem with 5 GHz AC connection to my Macbook Pro. At one location in my home, with decent normal speed (not full by any means but the Mac reporting it hovering above and below 200 Mbps), after some extended use (say, streaming a TV show), the speed will...

    Adaptive QoS

Merlin, have your sources given you any indication of whether this may happen? Debating if I should return my AC68U while I still can and grab the 87U... This new QoS sounds very nice.

    New Asus RT-87U

Can someone tell me if there's any reason to jump to this from a recently purchased AC68U, if I don't plan on upgrading any of my AC clients? For example, will range be noticablly better for N or AC clients? I'm asking now because I'm approaching the deadline to return my AC68U and go back...

Just upgraded to AC68 from N66, issues reconnecting

So I decided to upgrade to the AC68 from the N66, which I previously used for the last couple years with great results. Loaded up the latest merlin, restored factory defaults, and set up my config similarly to the 66. Now, I'm finding that fairly frequently (multiple times a day) when my...

Have RT-N66U...any benefit to RT-AC68U upgrade?

I was wondering the same thing, and decided to pull the trigger. I just got a new MBP with AC wireless, so I wanted to see if there was a benefit to swapping out the N66U for an AC68U. It's only been a couple of days, but I think I'm going to take it back. Here's why: I only have that one...

simple walk through on adding to firewall-start

Take a look at Merlin's wiki. Specifically you'll want to look at the user scripts and JFFS partition sections under usage. PS. If you're a Windows user, be sure to use a text editor like notepad++ to make the file Linux-friendly.

Security bug : Administration reachable over WAN

I have firewall enabled and OpenVPN server 1 enabled, and I cannot access the administration page via my WAN IP. But truth be told I'm pretty sure TWC blocks port 80, as does Cox and AT&T in my area, so I'm not a good test.

    dnsmasq question

Did you add that line in quotes (I believe it shouldn't have quotes)? Also, are you using a linux-friendly text editor to create your conf.add file?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

No. Because then it makes a factory default worthless since it would restore your old configuration. Just flash it up, re-enter your settings, delete the wireless profiles on your PCs, and you'll be good to go.
