    The issue of wireless clients coming and going from the Network Map all the time seems fixed anyway, haven't seen any sign of it so far. AI Mesh seems more stable as well. Had one netratelimit error message in 24 hours, which of course could be anything. Cautiously hopeful here anyway!

    On my system I traced this to a Devolo LAN power adapter. Connect the LAN power adapters and the messages start appearing and no proper connection to router or Internet, remove them and it all works fine and the messages stop. Odd, because I've had it in exactly this config for 6 weeks or more...

    I got the 86U because WiFi range is much better but mainly because of the high speed VPN capabilty (200mbits+ with hardware assist whereas the 68U struggles to reach 40Mbits). It's not proving as reliable as the 68U was, mind you I was running Merlin firmware on that, which I can't run now...

    Odd, I too have all those things turned off plus Airtime Fairness, Universal Beamforming, MU-MIMO turned off and the 2.4GHz channel width locked to 20 and it's still constantly losing clients. I also tried it with and without the AC68U AIMesh client ..same problems . Looking at what happens...

    After speaking to Asus Frontline Tech Support I've mailed Asus main tech support at support_uk@asus.com with description of the problem, no one has replied yet. Perhaps everyone should mail them!

    This firmware is appalling, wireless clients come and go, wired clients come and go, the MAC addresses often don't relate to anything actually attached. I suspect they have some significant memory corruption in this firmware, it's completely unstable.

    Had a look thanks..and did some reading on beamforming and I can see why you might want to disable universal beamforming with a mix of different capability devices attached but it did nothing for my setup. I think it's likely that some memory corruption is going on given the falsely reported MAC...

    I have just changed from the 68U to the 86U and I found two problems almost immediately. 1) In Wireless settings with 20/40 enabled on 2.4GHz wireless I found that a number of my Android devices and my Amazon Alexa wouldn't stay connected, some didn't mind at all..oddly enough the very old ones...

    HI, if you do find out a list of commands I'd be very interested in seeing them. I want to be able to activate/deactivate VPNs on an AC-86U. Used Merlin for years but as I needed AIMesh had to use the stock firmware recently. How I wish they'd open up their AIMesh so it could be included in Merlin.
