    yup as i expected its a bug stemming from asus/merlin fw http://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ac68u-wont-sync-ntp-v-378-56.27872/ nvram set link_internet=2 service restart_ntpc fixed it

    well, i added manual route so 0.0.0.0 all goes to 192.168.1.1 now i can ping google etc, i can ping the ntp server, however NTP is still not working...

    not at all, im using it as an ap in router mode and using it i have used IP monitoring on tomato aswell using it an an AP DD-WRT breifly, not sure if there was IP monitoring but traffic monitoring i understand if its not the gateway then it might not be accurate on the traffic numbers thats...

    why is there no traffic monitor in AP mode... seems kinda silly to me i have been forced to use my router in Router mode but manually configure to act like an ap and i still can not ping 8.8.8.8 or have a ntp request go through maybe traffic monitor should be added to AP mode? with IP...

    Merlin sais to use notepaid++ Atleast for me notepad ++ does not save unix files without the .bash or .sh filenames However i guess it would be easy to hit edit and remove it after However what i did was create the file from win-scp Not sure if chmod worked or me manually making it...

    Ok i just did that, created the file named just "services-start" and ran the chmod command However when i right clicked and checked properties for the file it still didnt say executeable So i manually checked executeable in winscp and rebooted And boom i got it :) thanks
