    OpenVPN - validate settings?

I've seen a few posts on this and my system totally works, but with frequent changes to sever and client I'm hoping somebody can do a quick validation to see if I have optimal settings. My clients are iOS and Mac with the latest Tunnelblick. Here's my file: client dev tun proto udp remote...

can you update the Asus Merlin firmware via SSH?

My RTN66U (used as just a WAP) always requires power cycling for the past year or so. My AC88U also just required a power cycle after upgrading the firmware.

    JFFS Usericon?

Am I the only one with a lot of devices and custom icons? :)

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

My home automation system is happier making connections to devices by IP address.... Alarm system, cameras, Sonos X8, stereo amps, TVs (to turn them off at night), ceiling fans x4 etc. And then the 8 alexa devices with static IPs makes debugging log files in the HA platform easier. It just...

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

That is what I thought. My router was set for the default 24 hour lease. I originally pushed the DNS changes saturday afternoon and then unplugged a few devices; plugged them back in and they did not get the new address. Change a ceiling fan to another wireless access point (Different SSID...

    JFFS Usericon?

I got the 88U last year specifically due to the increased NVRAM. Running 384.3. I like the network map feature with custom icons; and I have a ton of devices (10 Nest Protects; 8 Sonos devices, a dozen cameras, etc etc 71 devices on the network now; a slightly larger number of static DHCP...

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

I can push new IP reservations via NVRAM but not the GUI (AC88U, so plenty of nvram). These work, show up in the GUI (after doing nvram commit) but don't actually take effect until I reboot the router. Is there a service (is it dnsmasq?) I can restart so these take effect without a full reboot?

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

Separately, I dumped all of my reservations to a sorted static list per steps in this thread post 2: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/feature-request-sort-dhcp-list-with-ips-or-names.18153/ then edited that file, added my new reservation to the end, ran the sh command with that file and did a...

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

I dumped my dhcp_staticlist to a text file and it's 3313 bytes. 78 lines for my current 78 reservations. I found my /etc (which is actually /tmp/etc) dnsmasq.conf and see a whole bunch (all 78) of my lines for dhcp-host=mac, IP I created a dnsmasq.conf.add in /jffs/scripts and added a line...

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

Thank you. But I think something has definitely changed. I've only ever added address reservations via the GUI. Now, on a clean load and clean login, I go to the DHCP page, try to remove four existing devices, and then hit apply, and it still tells me it's too long.

    Backup Manual DHCP List?

Just tried to add 2 more static reservations (I have 75 or so) and hit this error message. Running 382.1_2. That's the main reason I bought the AC-88U (larger NVRAM for more static DHCP). Anything I can do about this?

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Very impressive. I love Asus. I have the AC88U but run the Merlin firmware. Maybe overtime this will make its way in. My other router is the N66U. Any chance of that getting support? If not, time to pick up an AC68U or something (I returned my T-Mobile one to get it off my TMO account).

Return T-Mobile router to T-Mobile CFE and Firmware

Well I took the plunge so I'll post this here for posterity. It worked. I thought I bricked it at first (expected to connect to it on 29.1 but instead it was on 1.1). Had to boot with reset pressed to get into CFE mode; even after flashing with CFE mini boot loader to the TMO version I had it...

Return T-Mobile router to T-Mobile CFE and Firmware

I have the TMO Ac68U that has been running Merlin for several years. I want to return to to T-Mobile. It is currently on CFE Loader 1.0.2.0 and Merlin 380.66_4. I have the original CFE. Should I start here https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=73690012&postcount=3895 with Section 6...

    OpenVPN IOSVOD config script?

According to this: https://docs.openvpn.net/docs/access-server/openvpn-access-server-command-line-tools.html#vpn-on-demand-profile-deployment there is an OpenVPN script that generates an iPhone mobileconfig file for on-demand VPN. I can't find it in /usr/local/openvpn_as/scripts on my Merlin...

Thanks. 88U arrives tomorrow. I suppose I could return the TMO version to them now...

Samsung Moves Into Crowded Mesh Wi-Fi Market

I like my TV's with ethernet so I can turn them off via the network (have to turn them on via HDMI CEC). But I don't use the software on my samsung anymore. AppleTV FTW.

Model of router with enough NVRAM? RT-AC88U?

Thanks I reset it when I switched it to AP mode. No scripts now. I'd like to go back to AB-solutions when I get an Asus with enough NVRAM. I think my issue is with all the clients on my network and all of that getting stored in NVRAM. I'm mainly interested in the router function (static...

Model of router with enough NVRAM? RT-AC88U?

I currently have the RT-AC68U. It is actually now in AP-only mode so not even doing DHCP reservations. Perhaps because I have 75 clients showing up and it is maintaining the client map, but it is again pushing the limits of available NVRAM (it was doing this when I was running it in router...

Approved ways to free up NVRAM space...

I am pushing the limits of NVRAM too. My NVRAM shows: 3773 dhcp_staticlist 3704 client_info_tmp 3001 nmp_client_list 2896 custom_clientlist 1089 sshd_hostkey 624 sshd_dsskey 431 sshd_authkeys 396 rc_support Is there anything here out of the ordinary or that I can do something with to free up...
