    AC68U hang/couldn't allocate memory

on an AC68U Merlin 380.63_2. router has been running 9 days without reboot, when suddenly connectivity was very slow. I managed with difficulty to get to the router UI, it showed a sudden sharp jump in memory usage. Navigating the UI was very slow though so I couldn't see much. I did manage...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60 Beta is now available

I and others have seen this issue with the XboxOne constantly making DHCP requests since at least Merlin's 380.59 firmware. Since the Xbox is the only device in my home doing this I suspect it's a Microsoft bug...the Xbox could be ignoring the DHCP lease expiry times.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

The problem is intermittent. in the tools page for example (http://192.168.1.1/Tools_Sysinfo.asp) the Ethernet Ports section sometimes breaks in Firefox. Sometimes it renders fine, but when it's broken in Firefox, I look at it in Chrome and it shows all MAC addresses in "Last Device Seen"...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

What browser do you use? Is it Firefox? I suspect a problem with data presented in the UI breaks things on Firefox, see above: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-380-59-is-now-available.32469/page-9#post-259431 if you use Firefox, could you try Chrome instead?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

I have this problem as well (clients stopped showing up in the client list, and "Querying switch...." on the Tools page in the Ethernet Ports section. I think I have a clue what's up here....the problems reproduce in Firefox, and not Chrome. Looking in Chrome, on the Tools Page, Ethernet...

    [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 Beta 2 is available

Has anyone else noticed that Traditional QOS seems broken with ipv6 in this build? The download speeds I see with traditional QOS on are 10% of what they should be per the settings (they're pretty close to the upload speeds actually...) This happens no matter which of the 3 schedulers I choose.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 beta 2 is now available

This flag was renamed to ipv6_ns_drop in the .53 release (see the changelog)

Do Asus routers use NetUSB driver?

A major security flaw was found in this driver which is common in routers: http://arstechnica.com/security/2015/05/90s-style-security-flaw-puts-millions-of-routers-at-risk/#p3 Do any Asus routers use NetUSB?

    Connection dropping with Comcast

Comcast supported cable modems: http://mydeviceinfo.comcast.net/ DOCSIS 2.0 modem can't support the higher speed plans or ipv6, so to be future proof pick a DOCSIS 3.0 modem.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.42_2 is out

Rmerlin, as a Mac user I can confirm that the spurious error messages in the log related to PCP are gone in 42. PCP is otherwise working fine. I assume this is what you mentioned in the release notes about fixes to PCP in this build.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.41 is out

Don't forget, Comcast's IPV6 deployment is the largest in the world, so it could just be law of numbers: http://www.comcast6.net/index.php/8-ipv6-trial-news-and-information/132-comcast-worlds-largest-ipv6-deployment They also use two different CMTS platforms on the headend, which could be...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.41 is out

Apple devices use PCP to request that ports be opened by the router. PCP is version two of NAT-PMP, and you probably have a Mac or other device running a service that needs the router to open a port, like "Back to my Mac". PCP support was added in the .41 Merlin release so that's why the...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.41 is out

odd messages in log, ipv6 related? seeing this in logs fairly often (once every 30 minutes?), Comcast ipv6 on RT-n66u. RMerlin, others, any ideas?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

saintdev, ok it finally happened to me again (lost ipv6) after the router was up for a week. I had the debug settings on that you recommended. looking at the log, this seems to be the relevant part. there are no errors in the cable modem logs. i'm leaving the router in the bad state for...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

saintdev--the issue happened to me once, and I have turned on the debugging you requested. so far it hasn't happened again though.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

saintdev, ok done. I'll let you know if it happens again. on another ipv6 issue, setting custom DNS servers in ipv6 used to work for me, doesn't anymore. if I set up custom ones and restart the router, again I don't get an ipv6 address. Have you tried this? I was using the OpenDNS ipv6...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.39 is out

ipv6 breakage again noticed this evening on Comcast ipv6 that my computers were no longer getting ipv6 addresses over dhcp. sure enough the RT-N66U no longer had an ipv6 address (lease expiry?) It looks like there are still bugs here. restarting the router fixed it, but some tasks for my...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

I can confirm that in 38_2 ipv6 is still broken if you have custom DNS servers for ipv6. for "Connect to DNS Server automatically" on ipv6, if you choose "Enable", (which turns off the custom DNS servers) ipv6 seems to work fine. In 38_1, there was an obvious ipv6 error in the logs for this...
