    automatic redirect to https

I tried searching to see if this has been answered already but did not find anything relevant. When I log into the admin client for Asuswrt-merlin I have to specify https in the url. It should be pretty straight forward to add a redirect to the web server configuration but wanted to check and...

    vlan problem

I am far from expert with vlan configuration. My understanding is that the bridge br0 is needed to get the vlan10 traffic connected to the WAN with the ebtables statements in place to route the packets appropriately. Is there a better approach? brad

    vlan problem

I am following the guidance in this thread on vlans (http://www.snbforums.com/threads/force-lan-port-4-to-use-the-guest-network-for-asus-merlin-rt-ac68u.18969/#post-143931) to accomplish the same goal: that is isolate the computers on port 4 on their own vlan that cannot access the other vlans...

[OFFTOPIC]Any GUI program for Linux deskop for SCP file browsing?

If your distro uses gnome or kde, the built-in file manager client will do it. See https://abdussamad.com/archives/508-What-is-a-GUI-SFTP-client-for-Linux.html for more info. Opening the location bar in gnome on my desktop and entering sftp://admin@192.168.100.2:22 works for me. I can drag and...

    VLAN and Port

Thank you for the reply Thank you for replying. Yes. I have looked at that post carefully and tried to search for others. The referenced post and others I have looked at separate the VLANs on different physical ports. The question I have is whether I can have 2 VLANs on the same port. Brad

    VLAN and Port

This is definitely a newbie question. Can I configure an RT-N66R with Merlin 374.40 to have Port 4 run 2 VLANs? The default VLAN1 and a VLAN4? Port 4 terminates at an engenius ENS-200 wireless AP which I would like to broadcast 2 SSIDs, each SSID tied to a specific VLAN. One SSID is to broadcast...

    VLAN Configuration questions

Greetings I have an ASUS RT-N66R running Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.39. I would like to create a VLAN for one of the LAN ports that will allow another user to share the internet connection but not have access to the main VLAN. Based on what I have gleaned from the readme and other threads I...

Any Updates Farm Wireless Network Advice?

I have a need to create a wireless network between the house and outlying barn, and garage. The house has the ISP connection. I have reviewed the review of the engenius ens200. The distances involved are around 45m between buildings with some fruit trees potentially in the signal path. The...
