[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 Beta is now available

Installed on AC3200. Two problems: 1. DDNS not working - Using xxx.asuscomm.com 2. Status icons in top right corner not working - Adaptive QoS icon does not appear. Other icons greyed out (eg. WiFi status, Guest network, Internet status). Reverted back to 384.4_2 Installed on AC68 in AP...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

That would be great John! Sure, I am game to test :) It's the AC3200, hence I can't go back to 380.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

That is too bad. Might be worth putting in the OP note making those coming from 380 firmware that Guest Network will reflect the private network SSID hide settings until ASUS fixes the problem. Might make those with a AC3200 think twice since we can't go back to 380, though personally I...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

I also had the same concern as you, but add 20 or so port forwards into the mix of static IPs. You can try to restore your settings. It worked for me. I upgraded directly from 380.69 to 384.3 on both an AC3200 and AC68U (AP Mode). Before upgrading, I saved the settings from 380.69. I then...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.3 is now available

As a RT-AC3200 owner, I am so grateful for this firmware upgrade and no longer having to worry about the NVRAM limitation. I've just come from 380.69 and everything seems to be working well. All except for the problem with Guest Network being hidden if the corresponding private WiFi SSID is...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

Hi Merlin Always appreciate the work you do to introduce new features. However, could you spare a thought for us poor AC3200 owners who are on the NVRAM critical edge when you introduce new features? I am not sure if the new firmware checking and NVRAM monitoring feature themselves eat into...

AC3200 Table has no data problem

One of the limitations of the RT-AC3200 is it's limited NVRAM (65KB) in relation to it's features. And the AC3200 is a full feature router. What you have to realise is that it's NVRAM capacity is not enough to use all of it's features. Your described symptoms suggest you have run out of NVRAM...

    RT-AC5300 - Physical size?

LOL ... that's what I thought. It didn't look like 245 mm. Thanks so much. That is a big help.

    RT-AC5300 - Physical size?

Can someone please help me with the width of the router including the antennas in straight up position? Considering an online purchase but have limited space. The official specification is 245 x 245 x 65 ~ mm (WxDxH), but it is not clear to me if 245 mm is with or without the antennas. Thanks.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Yes, I can confirm that the NAT acceleration setting is also causing my RT68U to have issues with 2.4 GHz. Disabling NAT acceleration will cause all 2.4 GHz clients to disconnect from WAN. Setting NAT acceleration to Auto restores 2.4 GHz WAN connectivity.

Same here. New WiFi drivers seem to be great. Less battery drain on my Android mobiles.

    378.55 (AC68U) random internet disconnects?

The Merlin magic must rub off on your routers :)

    378.55 (AC68U) random internet disconnects?

After over a week on 378.56, I can confirm the same experience on my RT-AC68R (PPPoE connection to ISP). It is not just on WiFi connections, but occurs on LAN connections as well. The Wireless log confirms that the clients connected by WiFi have not disconnected. And nothing is showing up in the...

    AiCloud working?

Never mind ... discovered my ISP had just started blocking port 443 Port forwarded an unblocked external port to internal port 443 on the router has fixed the problem.

    AiCloud working?

Is anyone having problems with accessing the router via AiCloud app on mobile? Can connect from LAN, but not 3G. Just happened yesterday for no reason that I can see. Everything had been working fine beforehand. Wondering if they are having technical problems or problem is at my end.

    Spinning down HDD

I only have a 1TB WD Passport HDD, so can't attest to large HDDs. Apart from this spinning up problem, I can say that I am very happy with 376.44. It has been absolutely stable for me with no other bugs that I know of - 14 WiFi clients on both bands and a PPTP WAN.

    Spinning down HDD

Have no idea why it happens. It seems to have happened at 376.44 when a new filesystem driver provider for NTFS/HFS+/FAT was introduced. Before that, you could leave DM enabled and the HDD would stay asleep when no tasks were downloading. It's a slight inconvenience to have to disable and...

    Spinning down HDD

Do you have Download Manager enabled? If so that may be the problem. Try disabling it. I had a similar problem where my USB3 HDD kept spinning up after just 30 secs. Disabling DM fixed the problem for me.

    Help with Scheduled Restart

I can't figure what is wrong with the cron job I have setup on my RT-AC68R. I am using the latest Merlin 374.43_2 build. The scheduled restart cron job I have installed is as follows: echo "#!/bin/sh" >/jffs/scripts/init-start echo "cru a ScheduledWanRestart \"0 3 * * 1 service...
