    Why not consider the Netgear GS110MX? It's a 10-Port Gigabit/10G Ethernet unmanaged switch with 8 x 1G, 2 x 10G/Multi-gig ports. It might be overkill, but it fairly quiet and sustains high transfer rates.

    Sounds like you need a need router that supports better stream at a distance? That router is know for it's weak long-range throughput performance and file transfer speeds.

    I updated my trusty AC86U to an AX86U because I couldn't get the 1G/1G speeds I was paying for. Now, I get it, even with FlexQOS enabled, a big win for me.

    I also receive mine later today to replace my trusty but aging RT-AC86U. I wanted the AXE11000, but I don't expect it to have Merlin support anytime soon. Does anyone know if the AX11000 has a captive portal for guest networks?
