Gigabit Tx/Rx rates yet slow transfer speeds over wifi

I have found that I can get similar speed results to using -P XX by using -w 4M without all the extra results syntax.

    Solved Speed test

I was about to say check to make sure HW acceleration is enabled via the Tools tab but if the router's speed test is doing full speed that would seem to indicate that HW acceleration is enabled. Next I'd be looking at QoS. If it's on turn it off for testing purposes. Make sure Bandwidth...

Gigabit Tx/Rx rates yet slow transfer speeds over wifi

Asuswrt-Merlin firmware installed and then System Log > Wireless Log. If I remember correctly stock Asus firmware has something similar.

    AX86U Power Supply

The amp rating doesn't have to be exact as long as it's => the required amps. Per Asus support you are looking for: RT-AX86U : 19 V with max. 2.37 A current / 19.5 V with max. 2.31 A current The only missing piece of the puzzle is the barrel jack size which I unfortunately can't help with. I'm...

    RT-AX88U Pro Max Wifi Speed

As mentioned, iPerf3 is a good way to test. I've found that I get better results when including the -w 4M option. Another method that might be easier to implement for some is to run an OpenSpeedTest server on one of your LAN devices and test against it. If memory serves me correctly my Pixel...

    Warzone 2.0 Unstable latency HELP

What are your latency values to other servers such as speed test servers? If you can, test nearby speed test servers and far away servers. This will help determine if the issue is with your base ISP connection and also see if your ISP's peering may be part of the issue.

    Asus RT-AX86U Pro Performance

Could you elaborate on what exact issue you are inquiring about? Based on my understanding this is the current status. I could be wrong though. All AC routers except 86U (and one other model that escapes me right now): No hardware acceleration for both regular and WG traffic. AC86U: Hardware...

    Hardwired speeds suddenly halved- RT-AX86U

First thing I would do is check the Tools tab to confirm NAT acceleration is on.

    Asus RT-AC86U problem wyze camera

I was having issues with my Wyze cams disconnecting often. Sometimes they would be fine and other times all sorts of disconnections. Finally narrowed it down to a failing 2.4 GHz radio on my AC86U. They are working wonderfully on my shiny new AX88U Pro. I have the 2.4 GHz in "compatibility...

    RT-AX88U Wi-Fi 6 doesn't work for 5G

Both my Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 Pro connect via ax (and 160 MHz) to my AX88U Pro running 3004.388.4. I realize not apples to apples but should confirm that the client devices are most likely not the issue.

AX68U QoS can`t use my whole connection speed

Could the issue be that NAT acceleration is being turned off by the QoS? And I agree with the others in that QoS may not be needed anymore. I would suggest using the router without QoS for a bit and observe performance.

    Tutorial Wireguard server tweaks

Been meaning to provide an update but have been sick with a chest cold. I did get a "test" client working. But...then realized that it was going to be more effort to transfer my settings than start from scratch. Also, adding new clients in the future would be much easier by starting from...

    RT-AX88U Pro v.s. RT-AX86U Pro

The 88U also has 802.11a, b, g, n, ac and ax. The main difference between the two is form factor and that the 88U has both a 2.5 Gb WAN and LAN port.

    Tutorial Wireguard server tweaks

I think this is where my confusion lies. When I view wg21.conf the pub key shown for each client peer is different than the pub key show for the same client peer in the client peer's conf file. In the client peer conf files the pub keys are all the same as expected. In the wg21.conf file the...

    Tutorial Wireguard server tweaks

Thanks for the prompt reply! The "old" router is still up and running while I'm setting up the AX88U so easy to grab the values. An old AC1900P has been providing 2.4 GHz for the last few weeks. Edit: The nvram commands don't see to be working. Perhaps I need to clarify, I'm trying to get...

    Tutorial Wireguard server tweaks

My AC86U just lost its 2.4 GHz radio so I've bought a AX88U Pro. I would like to transfer my WireGuard config to the new router. Right now I'm stuck at figuring out the correct keys to use. For example, when I enter "v peer1" I get the same psk but a different public key than when I enter "v...
