    often wondered how often and for how long these smart TV'S would be updated . one of the reasons I have a 'stupid' tv with an antenna , don't watch much tv hurts to watch when I go out to a friends house and see what garbage is on tv

    should be no changes in range and throughput , if there is a Merlin FW for your router I doubt you will brick it , been using Merlin for over 12 years have yet to brick a router using or updating to Merlin

    ax 1100 pro covers my houses well , in fact it cover my property 1 1/2 acres gets full coverage . very stable have not had any trouble in over 1 years use

    1000/100 for 80.00 a month no data caps , best i could do out in the sticks all thanks to the people buildng mcmansions in my area in the last 3 years , guess they wanted high speed ,now available up until last year I was stuck oN 10/2 DSL

    did you reboot the router after upgrading the FW ? Sometimes you get these odd problems after an upgrade, try manual reboot might help might not

    in 12 years of having routers with "smart" connect , it has never worked well i assign clients the channel I want them on and that is all , simple and I never have trouble Started with the ac3200 then ac 5400 now ax1100pro

    running off the router you will not get great speeds I have the 1100 pro but run vpn with wireguard on the clients , getting well over 500Mbps

    100% agree once they have the data they will never let it go , it might be hidden for a while but it will always be available for the right price . My trust in google is less than zero

    that is what I do I never run the vpn off the router always use it on a per client basis get well over 500Mbps , running off the router I'd be lucky to get 300Mbps VPN are a joke , they make so many bs claims
